There won't be much for those 144,00 to do. After all with the world population counter just a minute ago saying that the earth's population was 7,444,967,225 and counting that means each of those 144,000 will only get to kill about 51,644 people after the JW's are saved. They are getting short-changed and I am sure ToMo the Destroyer will be really pissed that he doesn't get to kill more than that. Maybe he will only target men with tight pants?

Not to hijack your thread this entire article was contradictory in many ways.

Then, "To give Jehovah exclusive devotion, we must be careful not to allow anything to take, or even to share, the place in our life that Jehovah alone should occupy." That's why JW's basically worship the governing body, branch members, circuit overseers, elders, pioneers etc.

Or this, "Or the love of the world might involve. . .the pursuit of higher education." Let's see them fight their legal battles with only high school graduates. Or any of the engineering needed for their Warwick compound using only high school graduates. Or any of their dental, medical work including surgeries performed by only high school graduates.

Years ago I worked with a well known band. We used neck lanyards like this to hold our backstage passes so that we could move around much easier.

They did make one feel somehow just a little bit more special than the public crowd in the arena. THAT is the reason for them IMHO. Just another little "bone" thrown to the attendants to make them feel they are "special".

just wanted to update you guys of the amazing couple of weeks i've had in recovering from the cult.. i was attending the meetings still just so i could see my daughter in the kingdom hall and have her sit we me half the time.

i had no intention of ever becoming a jw again but was hoping to be re-instated and just not turn up ever again so i could at least see my family.

but then an elder said something to me that changed all that.

i had joint custody of my. . .kids when their mother divorced me. It didn't mean jack shit when they were turned against me in their early teens.

I hear you there. Pretty well the same story here. A son whom I haven't seen or spoken to in nearly twenty years (his choice). A daughter who has just now began to reach back out to me after the same amount of time. And four grandchildren that I have never seen, even in pictures.

Their loss I guess.

i really felt for you sisters i mean i really did.

when you showed up at the sunday meeting and found out the subject of the talk was going to be -and i can't quite remember the exact wording- but something to the effect of marriage and headship, or honoring and obeying your husband, or something like that how many of you wanted to jump right back in your car and head home.

i mean 45 straight minutes of beating down you poor ladies and telling you that you are not worthy of making one decision, taking the lead in anything, don't question the man be obedient and keep quiet.
