I wouldn't touch her with a 10 foot pole!
I wouldn't touch her with a vaccinated crowbar.
the video invitation for the 2018 convention is just creepy.
i thought it was some parody at first as it seems 'dark'.it begins with a young man being pushed whilst standing at his locker and the voice over says that 'in critical times we need courage more than ever'.
next, comes a clip of a male putting his hand on the shoulder of a female worker, the look she gives him would be enough to give him nightmares for the next year.
I wouldn't touch her with a 10 foot pole!
I wouldn't touch her with a vaccinated crowbar.
since waking up i can't help but look at the future in a different way.
while i was working i felt it was ridiculous for me to start a 401k because i thought for sure the end would come before i retired.
but now, i'm a stay at home mom with very small children and it bothers me that i have done nothing to prepare for the future.
There's rarely one huge things that you can save on but if there are lots of small $10 things going out of your bank each month those can really add up.
A written cash budget can help. There are a number of great free budget templates online. I started one for curiosity over ten years ago, and never quit. Keep all your receipts and enter them in the correct categories. Keep track of everything, including cash for little things like a cup of coffee etc. You will see quickly WHERE your money is going and you can make needed cuts before expenses get out of hand. Cash "leaks" are the most wasteful and easiest spending to control...with a written budget. After I did this instead of always having an empty wallet, now I find that there is ALWAYS cash in it, and most of the time more than just a few dollars. Of course it will take discipline, and a little time, but the rewards can be great.
there are over 8 million jdubs and i would venture a guess that at least 20% to 30% are pimo.
in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.
all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.
How about having several meetings a month in some bunker as trial runs for the future.
While there may be some locations where "security" dictates that kingdom halls go on lock-down I have noticed that even in small, think 5,000 or less, population towns the kingdom halls are doing a lock-down for all meetings. If you are not there by conclusion of opening prayer you have to knock and be admitted by an elder. Practice for bunkers? IDK, but the ramping up of the "things in the world are soOOoo bad for us JDubs" and the increasing persecution complex they are being fed it would be easy for people to get paranoid about what the WTB&T$$ cult leaders are planning.
Personally I much rather expect the unexpected. No harm no foul if it doesn't happen, but prepared if it does.
you start listening to music deemed "unsuitable for christians".
you pretend to knock on the doors.
you explain a jw teaching to someone and realize how ridiculous it sounds.
...When you start noticing that the answer to every f**king question or problem is "study more" or "pray more"
Or PAY more? You are not being blessed by gawd because he needs your money and you are not giving enough!
avon lake ohio.
while new mega church being built right down the street!.
...then what?
Enforced tithing? Link your bank account and let us determine how much you will give each month? Or maybe just another "going out of business" sale?

For example, the religious organization has an interest in permanently maintaining data regarding an individual’s status as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Deleting such information would unduly infringe on the organization’s religious beliefs and practices.
Really WT...REALLY? If you deleted information regarding MY status as JDubya exactly HOW would that infringe on YOUR beliefs and practices? Unless of course you want to make sure that someone DF'd is going to be actively shunned and you could not do THAT without maintaining a permanent record to trot that information out any time someone might say "Hello" to a DF'd person!
this little nugget was found in the wt this morning, although 99.9% of people will not see it the same way i did.
"how did noah hear about jehovah?
he no doubt learned much from his relatives.

"How did Noah hear about Jehovah? He no doubt learned much from his relatives. These included his father, Lamech, whose life overlapped Adam’s ,and his great-great-grandfather Jared, whose life overlapped Noah’s by 366 years."
So I guess Adam and Noah had to be the same generation as Adam's life overlapped Lamech and Jared, whose lives overlapped Noah's by centuries...not just a few years. Yep I got it. Clear as mud!
i am interested in getting a list of lies that the watchtower has said or wrote in the past that could actually be proven to be as such, or, for the very least, deliberately misleading.
1. in a morning worship lecture in 2015, stephen lett said .
"rejecting false stories designed to separate us from jehovah's organization.
...Jackson at ARC - presumptuous to claiming GB to be the sole channel to the divine
I like to see how words are used. As such there is a word that is usually left out of this quote. That word is "seem". Jackson said it may SEEM presumptuous to claim to be the sole channel. In that light what he said is completely different than what he meant. He never said it WAS presumptuous to make that claim. Just my 2¢ worth.
hey, i would like to share my experience, it is kind of long but i really appreciate whoever reads.
last year i was a devout pioneer sister.
well, i am naturally an imperfect 20 year old women.
Jehovah's Witnesses are sex crazed paranoid maniacs that need a hobby
And yet the hypocrites have the nerve to call the "world" sex-crazed.

Are the 3 men making up the Service Committee always impartial and objective - in every congregation?
