  Witnessing Work to Stop?

  my 87 year old dad called me for the first time in 16 years the other day .... just to chat.

  i was floored to say the least since he didn't even bother to call me when my mom died several years ago.

  he called again today to inquire how i felt about jehovah's witnesses.

  Absolutely not. If anything the WT will become even MORE stubborn in their lack of natural affection. Some crap about, "Dear Brothers and Sisters, We know that it is diffiCULT to stay faithful to the governing body when they instruct you to shun your relatives and friends, and for not obeying every utterance from the mouths of the governing body. But please be assured that we know what we are doing much better than any living human in history. So shun. . .Shun. . .SHUN as if your lives depended on it, because we say they do!   i agree with people who say all lives matter.

  i think blm is a racist group.

  if white people pushed an agenda saying white lives matter, some people would have a conniption..

  "black lives matter". . . was a slogan to bring attention to an issue that has disproportionately affected "african american" people. . .

  If blacks were not disproportionately represented in the crime statistics, the one parent families, etc. perhaps they would not be disproportionately represented in the results of criminal behavior?

  i'm reading babylon the great has fallen, god's kingdom rules, published 1963. this was studied years ago when i was about 10-12 years old.

  i wanted to just read some of the beliefs from decades ago.

  my wife wants to know why i'm reading this book.

  I had the odd acquaintance (they never became actual friends) who'd say to me "you think too much".

  You must know some of the same people I do. My standard reply, accompanied by a look like I wanted to hit them over the head with a baseball bat, was, "Nooo. . .YOU don't think ENOUGH!"

  will you ever be able to sit at a bar or go to a concert or broadway show?.

  As long as there are sheep who prefer to exist following rules and regulations for their "safety" and insisting that everyone else must march in lock-step with them there will be no "normal" again in our lives.

  Governments have tasted the power of global control, the sheep have willingly given up and even begged for freedom to be taken from them, and all in the name of PC "safety".

  the latest watchtower of august 2020 discusses on page 15, "how will the resurrection likely take place?".

  since learning real truths as opposed to the org's version of truth, has your view of the resurrection changed significantly?

  just one example - regardless of psalm 37:9,11,29: matthew 5:5 & revelation 21:3,4, do you now believe that our destination is heaven rather than earth?.

  I have come to believe there is NO resurrection, anywhere.

  No heaven, no hell, nothing. Once you are dead you are gone. Live the best life you can now, this is all there is.

  If you're going to get baptized, you schlep over to Brother Wealthy's house and trek to his backyard to get dunked.

  I noticed that too. Not that I wanted to see, but they stood there in their t-shirts and knee length shorts (gotta be "modest" y'know) wearing goofy looking masks even while getting dunked. Moroons!

  Field service national average - what do you think it is now?

  it’s always been 10 hours when door to door was active.

  i’m curious of how it’s changed with only letter writing and phone witnessing approved.. i’m curious if they are able to do it for 3 hours like a typical door to door morning.

  i would be surprised.
