Flu?? Cold?? What are those? Weren't those something ancient people had way back in the old days, a couple years ago? Back before COVID was discovered as the cure for the flu and the common cold.

I guess the WT's own Awake magazine must be lying then: Quote edited to make the point.
*** g 6/08 p. 11 When Is Self-Defense Justified? ***
When You Are Threatened
Pursuing peace does not guarantee that you will never face violent attack. If confronted by an armed robber, a wise person will not resist giving up his valuables. Surely, life is far more precious than belongings!
On the other hand, what if a person’s life is threatened by an assailant?
The Bible. . .indicates that a person may defend himself or his family if physically assaulted. He. . .even may strike a blow to stun or incapacitate him. The intention would be to neutralize the aggression or stop the attack. This being the case, if the aggressor was seriously harmed or killed in such a situation, his death would be accidental and not deliberate. No sane person would go seeking trouble, however IF it comes I for one will be goddamned if I just roll over and let serious harm or death come to myself or family members! WT be damned if they expect that!

Why Is Nothing Being Done About Looters?
by minimus inlooting is happening everywhere like never before.
brazen thieves walk into stores and bring a bag with them and simply throw whatever they choose in the bag.
popular chain stores have closed in certain neighborhoods because it’s just not worth it.

Fedup Walmart sells guns .
Some do. None sell handguns or semi-automatic firearms. And regardless of the wrong idea that some people cling to, it is not as easy as walking in, choosing the most scary looking firearm you see, plunking down a few dollars, and then walking out with your chosen weapon.

The fact that in America they are readily available in supermarkets
In the better part of seven decades in the U.S. I have never yet seen firearms readily available in supermarkets.

My old JW cult hall permenantly closed.
by mickbobcat ini was watching a video by smurf girl that said that her old halls where permanently closed.
so i did a google lookup of my old hall and it said permanently closed.
so is this that big that the cult is really shuttering all these halls for good?

They have spammed up the reviews with a bunch of 5 star reviews from various JWs from all around.
I did the same thing. Also noted that all the reviews, even for halls that have been closed and sold several years ago are made by the exact same four or five people. The same over-the-top gushing 5 star reviews of the congregations, most of them in only the last eleven or twelve months. And having visited all of them over the past decades when I was not FedUp I can safely say the reviews are lies!

Jehovah cares for the poor
by road to nowhere inthe video for midweek.
walking 25 km, stay in a witness home and the topper, selling a chicken for money to feed 2 or 3 families.
all while wearing a tie..

Well of course 'those people don't need food, they need the Watchtower!!!' After all a few sheets of paper are nourishing and will fill a starving person's belly.
End of sarcasm

I live out of town, where one must drive to get to my place. If they are not invited or I do not know them they are trespassing.
I believe the attached signs are pretty well explanatory.

What are your personal reasons for hating the Jehovah's Witnesses religion ?
by Rocketman123 infirst thing comes to mind is that this organization through its leaders are not witnessing the true and honest version of the gospel teachings of jesus christ .. they are subjectively teaching/preaching a tainted version made up by the top controlling men of the organization, which i'm sure is connected to the proliferation and distribution of literature which these men publish themselves.
.
when jesus said that no one knows of the time not even he, he didn't say a select few will know .. the other thing that bothers me is this organization promotes human ignorance on many levels, admonishing education or knowledge that mankind needs for its very survival... there are many other religious organizations that do this as well but the jws is just one of these organizations.

Hate is just the opposite sign of the same coin that has love on the other side.
Both emotions expend precious energy.
I have neither for JW's.

Are JWs still reporting time?
by Vanderhoven7 inhere are some little child encouragers at work.. .
how do they report time since the halls closed?.
-
FedUpJW
Yep, still reporting time. And still being hounded for time by the eldurrs. Just had one email me after several months of being left alone, asking if, "there is any chance he could get any time I had to report?"
My emailed answer, "There is always a chance." Then nothing more than that. Added his email to my blocked sender list.

Most doubts aren't created by apostates. They are created in a Kingdom Hall.
by pistolpete ini found this interesting perspective on reddit.. post;.
i remember the moment the first real crack in my faith happened as a jehovah's witness.
i was sitting in the kingdom hall during the watchtower study where, as is common, the article was talking about how the israelites as a nation abandoned jehovah.. "but wait," i thought, "having a nation represent him here on earth was part of his plan.

The over oppression of power and control which JWS elders are afforded is a reason that made many people leave this organization altogether. JWS elders are there to judge, evaluate and even penalize people at will to an individual's apparent righteousness.
That is pretty much what started me on the path to disbelief.
