it seems to be a grade 3 level of study
WOW! It would seem you have some real content then, compared to what I saw when I quit going. I would have said perhaps 1st grade at best, more like kindergarten.
got a link for a zoom meeting and thought id share my experience about the mid-week meeting.. guessing about 100 - 120 in cong.. 50 on zoom, only 8 with cameras on - all elderly.
watching from a detached point of view it's so obvious at how it is nothing but a glorified sales meeting, all designed to promote the org.
inspirational videos about how everyone can/ should do more to help with projects, in particular how to look after the kingdom hall, complete with bar charts showing levels of achievement to aspire to.. interestingly, tonights book study is about alcohol..

ever since the annual meeting last october and the letter to bodies of elders stating that "exceptional young men perhaps in their early 20's could qualify for appointment as elders.." it even states this in the updated elders manual!
have any of you pimo's, pimq's, or those on here with family/friends still in hear of any young men being appointed as elders yet?
i am talking 21, 22, 23, 24 etc.
the young Elders(tm) will think it's because someone came to fix the fridge.
Or got invited over to see her fish aquarium.
sig other is half assed still in, one family member is in... its been years... wondering if i should just let it be or just call up hq and say i resign... i will be pissed if they announce shit at the kh, though i dont even remember the last one i went to... lol.
for me, its none of anyone elses business... thoughts?.
FedupThe more you stir up dirt, the worse it smells?☺️
I did see that translation this afternoon. My father said though, and Google translate confirmed it this morning, that the literal translation is, "The more you stir in shit, the worse it smells."
Has a little different impact, IMO.

Don't bother.
My father had a saying when he was alive that may apply, "Ju mer du rör om i skitten destro värre luktar det." That is Swedish.
i thought this was an interesting response to the question.
"being faithful and loyal to god implies or includes.
being faithful to your spouse (hebrews 13:4),.
Of course, this does not mean that we put God, our spouse, our employer, our authorities or the Governing Body on the same level.
Just like a concert where the last act is the main attraction this sentence says it all. The governing body is JW's main attraction. Nothing else raises to the level of importance in a JW's life than the governing body the human representation on earth of God.
a sister said the other day at the ministry group “”what is all this talk that the end is still some way off” she said she has been waiting for decades and she was told there is no way it would take this long.
some others said in an annoyed kind of way yes they would have made different decisions decades ago if they knew the end still would not have come by 2023.. how will the majority react in a few more decades time when the end still hasn’t come?.
why all that talk of sense of urgency decades ago?.
If any Witnesses ignored this and stayed in sleep mode daydreaming and didn’t plan accordingly, it’s hard to feel sympathy.
I appreciate your comments. I would though change the word "hard" to "impossible". In my case I choose to feel ZERO sympathy for any JW that is by their own choices struggling financially and I cannot honestly say it is hard to do. Does that make me a "bad" person?
if a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.
Elders can & do diss JW's for various excuses.
Agreed. I have said it here before, my father (an elder at the time) said anyone can be DF'd for anything that three elders can agree on.
during the height of the pandemic all elders had to report to the co anyone who was struggling with bills or who couldn’t pay the rent.
the co reported it to the branch.. i don’t know what happens next.
do the branch help at all?
The Borg doesn't care if you have to drive 1000miles anywhere in any direction. Just as long as your behind is in those seats and keep on pushing door bells.
And they mustn't forget to keep pushing those $$$$$ into the "contribution" boxes.

This is from the letter posted here a few weeks ago. The letter itself was 7 pages long. As you can see WT passes the responsibility off to other true charities, and to government agencies. Damned hypocrites!
United States – Resources for Distressed Households
As of February 06, 2023
The branch office does not endorse any of the following programs. Do not post this document publicly on any website, social media, or sharing service. The links will take you to various available resources including nonprofit and government agencies. Family heads will need to use discernment and carefully research these resources to determine whether the program is appropriate for their households and decide if they will avail themselves of such programs.
i came across an xjw post on redditt from a rn.
she states that nearly every jw she ever treated was on anti-depressants or anti-psychotic drugs:.
https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/f35vaa/just_about_every_jw_i_come_across_is_on/ i once read somewhere that 1 in 5 jw's were on anti-depressants, but i couldn't find any documentation.
So I wonder how much of the depression and illness is the result of abusive home life.
Perhaps a pretty fair amount, but I would hazard a guess that there is as much or more depression and illness as a direct result of and abusive RELIGIOUS life. Always being goaded to do and give more. . .More. . .MORE!
