Aftermath of being Reinstated

i'm in the process of being reinstated ( my df'ing story is on here).

because i've never been in this position before, i don't know how i will be treated once i'm reinstated.

i moved to a new city/state and i don't know a single person here or in my new congregation i am attending.

That is the key to being accepted. As one guy (now an elder) told me years ago when I temporarily thought I would like to be married, "Don't get married. Just hire a couple hookers when you are in Las Vegas, come back and say you had a moment of weakness and you are sorry. Then make a BIG contribution to the congregation, maybe even slip a few Benjamins to the elders, and all will be okay."

Trump didn't shut down the economy like the leftist government tools did, and when he did try to curtail international travel he was accused of being a racist xenophobe by the left. Otherwise as far as I know all those you mentioned fall into that group.

Medically it was the un-elected bureaucrats in the WHO, the CDC, HHS, social media, so-called news organizations in the U.S. that mandated what people must to without question or personal choice under penalty of losing jobs, losing their lives due to refused surgeries, and being cancelled and de-platformed if they did not bow to the jab police.

Perhaps. I do note though that those FORMER MEMBERS recognized it when they had been LIED TO. I also note that there are some who seem to have only exchanged one group of religious high control men who mandate you must think as they do with no questions or personal choice allowed for a different group of high control government/medical men who demand that you think as they do with no questions or personal choice allowed.

That photo reminds me of an off color joke from decades ago before it would get one cancelled to tell it.

It had to do with two elders who questioned a young man about a suit much like the one in the photo for appealing to, as Tomo III would say it, homosexuals.

He said it was an honest mistake as he had asked his wife to go to Cox's and buy him a seersucker suit for the summer, and his wife went instead to Sears.

Exes: Would You Rat On A Current JW?

if you are an ex jw, presumably dfed, and you see a current jw in good standing engaging in behaviour that would concern their elders, would you pass on that information to interested parties?

do accusations from exes and other outsiders carry any weight?

In my personal experience my answer would be no. These days though my feelings about ratting out a JW to their elders f--- 'em! They can do there own dirty work.

I agree with your comment above. I'm what may be termed an "old" man and have seen enough emotional blackmail and stupid games from both sides of the gender fence to last several lifetimes. Thank you for voicing your thoughts.

I have to wonder what was so wrong in the marriage that she had to go somewhere else.

I have to wonder what was so wrong in the marriage that HE had to go somewhere else? That works BOTH ways. I personally knew a couple in my younger JW days where the oh so spiritual wife would use the silent treatment and ask the witness husband how long he could go without in each and every case where he wished to do something or go somewhere she did not approve of (camping, hunting, fishing etc).

And lumping men into the "they marry only for sex" pigeon hole is IMO an incorrect female excuse for their actions. Men desire closeness and emotional support from their partner pretty much at the same level as a woman.
