  Did The Witnesses Mess Up Your Sex Life?

  most of the witnesses i knew never really talked about sex.

  whatever couples did was pretty much kept quiet.

  every once in a while a wife might complain to the elders or a friend that the husband is too demanding or even immoral because of the sex practices the husband wanted.

  When my wife was pregnant, the elders called a meeting with her about the blood issue in which I showed up and ended.

  Then when meeting with the doctor in another city someone tipped off the doctor she was a JW. He asked her if that would be an issue and she said yes. I am pretty sure if she would not have said anything if no one told the doctors.

  While giving birth , things were not going so well and the nurse said " she had visitors ". My heart just dropped. I thought was the elders. If you think you are not capable of killing another human, think again..................man I was livid. Turns out it was just friends but JW friends. I told them to go away.

  I literally can't do it again. Sex has been few and far between for us,

  (background... the spouse was talking to dubs about 6000 yrs and wanted to tell them that it was proved false).

  From what I have read humans didn’t really flourish as a species till about 6000 years ago somewhere in Iraq. I mean written language , permanent settlements, the growing of crops etc etc.

  Was it some evolutionary mutation in our brain that made us smarter or the supernatural imprint of a soul? When you look at the advancement on a timeline in proportion it’s not a curve , it’s a vertical line straight up.

  Who knows. It’s kind of a bottomless rabbit hole if you want argue about it. I find it’s best to leave it alone.

  Newly discovered Dead Sea Scrolls with the tetragrammaton within the Greek text

  big news from israel, some previously undiscovered dead sea scrolls have been found with portions of the ot in greek.

  it says the name of god is included in hebrew letters within the greek text.. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/16/world/middleeast/dead-sea-scrolls.html.

  "the new fragments contain verses from zechariah 8:16-17, including part of the name of god written in ancient hebrew, and verses from nahum 1:5-6, both from the biblical book of the twelve minor prophets.".

  I thought all the dead sea scrolls were in Hebrew and thus should include the tetragramaton ?

  Its is produced in the US, not yet approved in US and just sitting in storage. That is the reason it was sold.

  Canada and Mexico are in a tough spot without having any domestic vaccine production. Just hoping that they don't get double crossed by the US and Europe on the doses they have purchased.

  Rotator Cuff Surgery: Anybody Have Experience?

  my husband is going in on tuesday to have surgery to repair a badly torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder.

  he is right handed.. he's 51 and is great about exercising and staying in shape.

  however, while doing push ups, his shoulder just snapped.

  I just had a broken arm fixed and got a bottle of Tylenol 3s ( Tylenol with Codeine ). I haven't needed them for the pain for a while now, just nice to get a little buzz on before going to bed.

  I am debating for my next doctors visit if I want to try and get another bottle. I am not so much worried about the addiction more than the damage to my liver. I guess painkillers are just horrible for kidneys and livers.

  what is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?

  i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.

  he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

  I was at a meetup while dating my wife and an elder did a little talk about marrying in the lord and basically asked if anyone could set my wife up , right in front of me.

  I didn’t know if I should laugh or kick his ass.

  A few years later I came home from work and he was sitting in my living and I was “ get the fuck out of my house”. Wife was not happy with me .

  Something that has always bugged me about the WTS was the sense of entitlement.

  Can’t join the army , yet get to live under the protection of an army in a secular free society.

  Higher education is wrong but sure have no problem visiting the doctor , lawyer , engineer etc etc.

  Now we don’t trust what public health officials are telling us but have no problem running to hospital when you suddenly can’t start breathing.
  

  Humans are narcissistic , selfish and stupid creatures. This place saddens me because it makes me realize the WTS will never run out of idiots to peddle there nonsense.

  Next Avengers movie I cheer for thanos.

  You do realize if Florida was its own country , it would have the 17th highest death total in the world. It literally has most European countries beat by a long shot.

  It’s weird how cheap life is in the US.

  So let’s say we applied your argument to let’s drinking and driving it would basically be my fault for getting hit because in a free society everyone has the right to do what they want ? Don’t want to get hit , should have stayed home.

  Just like jehovah elders not taking reporting child molesters because they just seem to know better than secular authorities , you seem to think you better than the health authorities?

  The US leads the world in cases, death and case and deaths per 100,000 yet .................oh fuck it....no words.
