Half of it was white privilege, half of it was affirmative action.
(this is a joke, people. Lighten up if it offends you.)
while even non-peaceful people have been awarded the peace prize (e.g.
arafat, kissinger), i am confused as to how obama could possibly have won the award one year after being the first term junior senator from illinois with zero “peace” experience (other than his ‘well-articulated’ rhetoric)..
reading the obama-pining on a couple of posts made me reexamine my view of barry’s presidency..
Half of it was white privilege, half of it was affirmative action.

it seems some people still maintain that trump will try to get help from the russians “again”..
Anticipating a barrage of "dislikes"..... They hacked into the system in 2016
How did they “hack into the system”?
what do you consider hacking?
what system are you talking about? Voting system?
And how did they hack votes when he didn’t even win the popular vote?
This shit is just like JWs using everything as “proof” Armageddon is near.
one of my favorite actors is robert de niro.
some of his later movies were so so but overall i think he was outstanding.
meryl streep, i just never thought she was anything exciting yet people say she’s the best actress of all time.
De Niro is great.
All the actors and actresses mentioned here are legends.
Watching Joachin Phoenix in Joker, though, put him on my personal favorites list. That was an amazing performance. It takes great talent to make the audience both be empathetic and repulsed by a character at the same time. A lot of that is writing, but without an actor to deliver the performance perfectly like he did, it would've been lost.
Another great film I enjoyed was The Irishman. Acting was on-par for all the greats; De Niro, Pachino, Pesche, etc. But it was great.
I think by far my favorite actors of all time, though, were Henry Fonda and Gary Cooper. Both are consummate orators.
Check out this clip from The Fountainhead. Hard to beat a monologue like this.
and do you think he has a chance to win it all?
?.
I don't think Bloomberg has a chance, because he was a Republican and then he switched to the Democrats.
So was Elizabeth Warren.
approval .
as children we have a need to bond with our caregivers or parents.
this bond leads to needing their approval.
Does the same "approval addict" situation exist in the spousal relationship?
and do you think he has a chance to win it all?
?.
Some think trump is not as rich as he claims so he is saving face.
If teddy, Eisenhower, truman, jfk and others could see this they would not believe it.
Go back to the founding fathers and it would be even worse.
Why would the founding fathers or Teddy Roosevelt care about income tax filings not being released? US income tax wasn't even around then.
I think Teddy and the founding fathers would see we have a federal income tax and THAT'S what they wouldn't believe.
The founding fathers only had these requirements for someone to be president: a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older.
two facts to consider: 1) most baptisms take place during assemblies and conventions; 2) the theocratic year goes from september to august.
my theory: the borg changed the calendar of conventions and assemblies so to concentrate the baptisms in a single theocratic year.
if some conventions used to take place in july/august, for the 2018 series they moved them to september.
Isn't the Borg's reporting year October - September, hence annual meeting in October?
October is the beginning of Q4 in a calendar year. I'm pretty sure it's Oct-Sept.
editor's note: found this on reddit...thought the meat of the post would be a good post for discussion here as well.. consider the three choices god forced upon david for taking a census.
these three choices were forced on king david, not for murdering people, not for raping women, not for lying, stealing, or any crime we can think of in our modern world that is repugnant, but simply for taking a census or in other words, counting people.. for counting people, jehovah forced a decision on david that involved the lives of thousands upon thousands of innocent people.. the choices all dealt with the “way” jehovah would kill thousands of unsuspecting loyal worshipers.. 1 chronicles 21.
“these are the choices the lord has given you.
God is sovereign and owns us all and answers to no one.
Apostate etymological origins:
Yeah, I'm a runaway slave.
The God of the Bible is an objectively sadistic character that only gives man the choice of "Do as I say or die." That's what terrorists do...it's what sadists do...it's an unacceptable personality trait that doesn't foster genuine loyalty.
It takes away the free will of a man if his only choices are comply or die.

who would you turn to?
I'd turn to myself. Why do I need to turn to a hypothetical superior being that I can't even prove exists?
so i am sure if you are at bethel and have the flu you just get time or what ever to recover, but what about serious sickness.
say you get cancer or some possible terminal illness?
what happens?.
In my experience, it depends on your length of tenure and, as with all things JW, your position in the organization.
Most bethelites would be sent home packing, especially if they have surviving family members that can take care of them.
But there are some that either they have no family outside of Bethel, or they have been at Bethel for so long and are "heavies".
For example, Karl Adams wife had a stroke and was completely debilitated. She was allowed to stay at Bethel because of who her husband was.
