Free Will - Does It or Does It Not Exist?

It is still difficult for me to think about mind equals brain in terms of physical causes-effects.
In physics a cause, like electricity presence, produces an effect, like a light on or an engine movement.
Whereas, the absence of electricity produces another effect, like a light off or an engine not moving.
In the brain, an effect like a psysical movement of an arm is produced by an electro-chemical stimulus (the mind thought "I move my arm"). But an effect like an arm not moving is still produced by an electro-chemical stimulus (the mind thought "I do not move my arm" or "I (just) think of moving my arm without doing it").
In the latest case, think about the thought "imagine a pink elephant" which should correspond to the electro-chemical state X (visualisation of a pink elephant) and then think about the thought "do not imagine a pink elephant" which should still correspond to the electro-chemical state X (visualisation of a pink elephant), because it is impossible not to think about a pink elephant without thinking it...

It depends...
We have different schools and paradigms both in Psychology and Philosophy.
One of this is: our mind equals our brain. In this way you could think and reason in terms of our "psysical" universe and accordingly Neurology equals Psychology and Psychiatry.
But the psysical explanation of the mind (that equals the brain) does not explain other fenomena.
For example, a thought (something we cannot explain psysically) can move an arm (something physical). This means that we could have physical effects from not psysical causes...
Other examples are optical illusions and the stroboscopic movement. In the first case, our mind sees what psysically is not in the stimulus that the brain receives. In the second case, the mind perceives a movement where there is not psysical movement in the stimulus that the brain receives. In these cases, you could consider the results or effects like more than the simple sum of the single parts of the perceveid psysical universe concluding that mind and brain are not exactly the same thing...
Quite complicated... 😊

How could the publishers know that "no one should feel pressured to partecipate in any specific method of preaching" since this sentence will not be announced?

The Genesis 3:15 woman.
by Fisherman ingenesis 3:15 says that the woman’s seed would be in enmity with the serpent’s seed.
although the bible reveals that the woman’s seed is jesus and christians that go to heaven with christ, it does not identify the woman directly.
we at jw believe that the woman is symbolic.

I found interesting what the Quran 6:101 says regarding Allah (God):
"[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.".
If talking about father and son is to compare to humans life helping us to understand, how could a father have a son without a mother? Who could be the mother if Jesus was the first to be created?
Am I wrong?

Is there ANY possibility at all that the WatchTower and the Governing Body has the TRUTH? (You're about to find out)
by Terry inin my opinion, having been a jehovah's witness for twenty years as well as being an ex-jw for forty-three years,is that the following talk as given by peter gregerson, emphatically removes any shadow of a doubt aboutwhether the claim for the faithful slave has any merit whatsoever.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytcj6smffbk&t=3145s.
note: (references to the publication the finished mystery are given.
you can read the entire book here:https://www.gutenberg.org/files/46016/46016-pdf.pdf.

Do JWs trust and rely on bad reviews? Why should they? How could it be coherent?
by psyco injws are taught that all bad reviews about them made by exjws are false and sick, so they must not read or listen to them.. so, when jws decide on joining, applying, or buying whatever product, service or organization: are they reading and listening only to good reviews about people still satisfied with that product, service, or organization because they consider false and sick all bad reviews made by people who abandoned that?
do they trust and rely on all bad reviews reported in documentaries, on internet, on tv, on magazines etc.
about people who left scientology, who left that house, who left that job position, who left that hotel, who left that restaurant, who left that medical treatment etc.?

The big issue is that Satan controls all bad reviews about everything: how could they be trustworthy then?
