Love this subject, we can all go to the town of what the changes.....may be.

I was just looking at Matt.24:45-47 Who really is the faithful and discreet* slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?+ 46 Happy is that slave if his master on coming finds him doing so!+ 47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings. So the master appointed his domestics to give food at the PROPER TIME. So when is the proper time? Are we eating too early....is the food not cooked yet ? If a master appoints someone, it's because they are trusted....Are we not ready for the food? What ?First of all this is a parable...to me it means...be ready....I don't think this scripture was meant to be read & for someone to take the position of the faithful slave. Just like in the paragraph, it mentioned that if we helped the least we helped them...Again, Jesus was saying if you helped someone who had less than you, you were helping Jesus...this is not about the brothers...at all.

Even the bible says some of what Jesus says were in illustrations, because what he wanted to share with folks was too deep for their brains...how can an org. apply themselves to the illustrations & say, hey, that's us/me.

All denominations are about $$$$. At first they want to save lives but you can't keep a church open on dinners & raffles.

The org. ran so far ahead of the scriptures they can't justify most of what they tell the friends...but their pride won't let them really come clean. I do believe that if the org. really came clean...I mean really...folks would stay...but at the same time, the org. couldn't control the flock...because the flock would say...now, now....remember, you are not inspired & you can be wrong, because you are imperfect, just like us.

So many good points...@ Steve2, I was thinking that too. As a matter of fact, I started a topic on this is how I think they will show how they are being persecuted....because as I said before, if you read Luke ????. It gives the sign of what to look for but the verses right after that says, these things won't happen until they are taking to jail or persecuted, I forget which...so it came to me...ahhhh...how will they spin this....that's when I thought about all the stuff going on in Australia & other parts of the world...that may be why they are quiet about it...that's their trump card.

A part of me thinks when the religion first began, they wanted to distance their doctrine so far away from other doctrines, I think they went too far...they ran ahead of the scriptures & now they are trying to back track. Most of their doctrine is pretzel logic...again, now because of the internet, of which I think they monitor, they find out, that folks are not stupid & can read...

So if God or the holy spirit talks to them, not inspire them, how do they come up with this stuff to right...the next question that should appear in the "Questions from Readers". So if you are not inspired & infallible...how do you get your information....if they say, the Holy Spirit, then one could say, oh really...so when the holy spirit directed you....did you have on earphones...or do you need a hearing aid. The holy spirit is either lying or you guys are...now which is it...does the Holy Spirit misdirect or do you mishear then misdirect the flock...The holy spirit is from God/Jesus...the scriptures say, they don't change...so what's the story????

They are CYA, for some reason, that we may get to find out or not....But as Steve2 says, persecuted for Pedophile, that's not persecution, that's criminal....it's not like they are being persecuted for a good reason...they are guilty & they know it...they have been pointing fingers at out religions, & now...look...it's now them...There are too many stories & they won't be able to squash them all... One day, major media will pick up stories of JW's. They are shelling out so much $$$ for so many things, they can't keep up with the holes in the dam.

We will just have to wait... at this point, it could be something or nothing..remember the meeting about tight pants...'nuf said.

Hi All,

I agree with Steve2...this is about the ARC, they know that the friends know, but won't talk nor ask. But they have to save face. The changes can be any number of things. They are so sure we are living in the last days, but in Luke, it says, these signs won't happen until there is a persecution...I think they are setting the stage via Australia & saying this is it, you all....GT has begun...it's happening right now in Australia...we have been fighting in courts, they want us to pay up, or go to jail....that's one spin...OR...they have been monitoring the Ex-JW's web-sites...& they have painted themselves into a corner with their doctrine....Folks can read & comprehend now. Also, they can see the baptisms are going down...

They can no longer say, Jesus is Michael, when it says in Hebrews, "To which angel, did he ever say you are my son"...you just can't beat that. They can no longer say, the rider on the horse with a bow without an arrow is Jesus, for one, how can you ride out then come back & open up another scroll....Stevie Wonder could see that...even in braile...1914, nothing in the bible to point to that date...they can say 607BC until forever, but all other books say another date..can't remember the date...Christ wasn't born on Xmas...who knows...back in the south when their were slaves, many didn't have birth certificates so they celebrated their birthdays whenever...So Chris wasn't born on Xmas, he was born so our sins will be forgiven, so what matters is that he was born...144,000, not defiled by women...that just may be literal...

The internet is poking holes in their doctrines...& they know it...the internet is exposing them...& they know it...

They are trying to keep control....

For me, just teach what the bible says, don't add nothing....about, blood, sex, drugs & rock & roll, let each one be accountable for themselves...we don't need no stink'in GB/Edler police...

i went to my midweek meeting this week.

very interesting....couple of things i noticed in the god's rule book, this week finishing up "the kingdom is born in heaven".

there was a footnote that read:for many years the watch tower was intended mainly for members of the little flock for their personal edification.

You are so right...even when we go out in service the conductor tells us where we are going, everyone appears to either right it down or put it on their mobile devices...We go outside, and the first thing one of the friends ask, where are we going?

I watch them in the hall, & you are so correct...they don't even remember the comment they made...they sitting looking like they are taking it in but all the time...their mind is somewhere else...

I think most of them have attention span issue...you can tell them something & the next minute it's gone right out of their minds...what's that about?

They come out for service with nothing..no pens, pencils, paper, literature....& mind you these are seasoned witnesses...not newbies...

As many on this site say, most witnesses are just going through the motions...They do their time, do a few return visits, go out to be seen....

All I can say is amazing...

Again, they don't see nothing...I was telling one sister, that DF'ing is a form of control, just like in other churches Hell is a form of control. All religions hold something tragic over peoples heads to keep them in line, it's either DF'in or Hell...both control or supposed to control our actions...she said...she never thought about it...

I think that's the operative word..."THINK". To be a witness you don't have to think...everything is wrapped up in a little package for us...believe it & keep it moving...So when they check off things to do list...Take Garbage out, check, don't forget to pick-up from cleaners, check, stop at the store for milk, check...My Spirituality...went to the meetings, did my WT & Christian life, kind of heard what the brothers said from the platform (although I don't remember, was thinking about something else) & went out for 2 hrs., check....To do list for the week...Completed..

I made an error in my previous post, I said they said, Wanted Publishers, but it was really Preachers....ok that alright, but Wanted: Anointed to Preach....uh ? So the anointed had to answer a want ad...what the heck? Now I know most of the friends are brain dead, but not to this extent...I really think most of them saw it but afraid to mention it but to think the nerve to say this...so any old body can say I'm anointed and answer the ad to preach.

Am I wrong ?

I went to my midweek meeting this week. Very interesting....Couple of things I noticed in The God's Rule Book, this week finishing up "The Kingdom is born in Heaven". There was a footnote that read:For many years The Watch Tower was intended mainly for members of the little flock for their personal edification. When the conductor asked the question for para. 36, he didn't say, & you can cooperate the footnote in your comments...Not one person commented on the footnote...I think it shocked the friends....So the WT was only for the Anointed, ummm...& how did they know who were the anointed...aren't they a secret...I think that footnote blew folks away. The question for para.36 was...What showed that God's people were reviving spiritually...Most of the comments came from the paragraph, but again, no one added the footnote...I was going to say that God's people were spiritually revived because the WT was opened up to the Great Crowd, so Jehovah wanted all to benefit from his/Org. spiritual food.

In another paragraph, but I don't see it on line, they mention that they wanted: Anointed & Publishers...I have the book & so on line it's been updated, but, to advertise for Anointed...we need more anointed...what the heck...I can't copy & paste it for you but it's in the actual book, so no need to check...if I get a chance to find it I'll come back & tell you what paragraph it was in....So the org. is trying get us to be loyal to them, this book is giving the struggles of how this religion came about so, when we do hear of the ARC, we still won't believe it & think it's persecution....they are setting the stage...This book is trying to endear us to the ORG. I see the hand writing on the wall.

Did anyone go to the midweek meeting this week & see what I saw ?

It was never, ever, a warning work, was it?

most witnesses i knew were exteeemly reluctant to go out in the ministry.

but when they did, they were simply scraping by, eager to avoid conflict and just do their hour or so speaking to lonely old ladies or widowed old men.

placing magazines in a car group, doing route calls, plodding along in the utter boredom of their responsibility to get some time on a report by the last day of the month.. this was never a warning work.

I agree with all of you. I feel this is a religion of folks who need attention to be validated...Jehovah doesn't need any of us to spread the good news, as the bible says, he could have used stones or rocks, I forget. The hours validate us not God. It also keeps some busy who otherwise would be getting into who knows what, maybe twirling on barstools....This is a religion that makes one feel a are a part of something....as many of you have said....it's mainly a social setting. There is something happening every weekend...it's like a merry-go-round...you can jump on or off the social carousel when you want...The org. tries to keep us busy & together...aka: INBRED...

I've heard some say, Oh, I don't have enough hours this month...then I say to myself...shouldn't the statement be, I didn't get any studies this month....but their main concern is hours...it's not about the message....again, it's about the hours. Then we have aux.pioneers & regular pioneers saying OMG, I didn't make my hours this month...I want to say so bad, you did it to yourself...you could've been a good publisher, but NOOOOO, you wanted to hear your name from the platform ....Sister or Brother so & so, is now an Aux. P or Reg. P...we clap, they get validated...& all is well. They feel good about themselves, then when they realize they just may have bit off more than they can chew, then they stress about not enough hours...but never saying...Gee, I've been out there x amount of hours...& no converts...

As many of you have said, it's not a warning message...& did Noah run around with a message...I don't think so...he had an ark to build...his ministry was building the ark, & having folks asking him, What are you doing? Noah most likely was saying...God told me to do it because he's gonna flood us out in the near future...Most likely Noah was aux. pioneer...you know the working pioneers that are in the congregation. They are another breed as well, this is their story, " Gee, it was hard to get my hours this month...YOU KNOW I WORK". I want to say, yeah, I know you work, have a family & husband...but why did you do it...what guilt are you working off or what are you trying to avoid...I think some folks like to be excessively busy, that way they don't have time to listen to any of the friends, just busy...doing...NOTHING. Many don't believe it's the last days, but to keep up the façade they have to say it...Wonder what the young folks are thinking...it's the end, you mean I won't be alive long enough to get some sex...what a bummer...

I go out in service when I can...I enjoy it because, if I can get someone to just open up their bible & their minds & that there just may be something bigger out here then oneself...Or even if I can bring a smile to someone, then I've done my job...

The motivation behind what they do is the big question, do you want hours or converts....I think I answered my own question, HOURS... Oh, yes & return visits...I've been on a few & the folks just ain't checking for us, they are being polite.

Again, as mentioned...it's a social club...a place for misfits to belong...

Why am I still there...I ask myself all the time...but I'm not mad at God or the friends...people are people...witnesses are just a bunch of folks who need attention....not saying they are all that way, but majority are. I have met some nice folks there but, I know not to get too close to them... I like what I do...I like to study & don't mind the door to door either...Just want to let folks know, there is something bigger than themselves...I've been to churches & other places of worship, same folks, just different doctrine....I thinking of fading, but how, don't know just yet. Most of the congregation like me...& I like them...some are hard core & some are like me...they know it may not be God's channel, but like the association.

At times I feel I don't fit in...I came from a pretty stable home. Great relationship with my parents. Fortunate enough not to have any ailments...I find some witnesses to be whiners....when going out in service all they talk about is their health....which is never good....they can get an operation, & they never get better...they always say, I had an operation on blah blah blah, but I think they didn't do it right...they enjoy bad health....I really don't think many of them have the faith they preach about....everyday is gloom & doom....worldly people are this & that...They know the scriptures but don't think they believe it...There are a couple of things I mentioned to them like praying for others...& a brother & sister said we can't...well don't you know when we read the Imitate their faith book, it said right there..in black & white, Jehovah wants to pray for all. Boy, you should have seen the faces when we went over that...necks were so stiff, because they knew they gave me the wrong info.

Again, all that I've seen I should go...but I don't want to be DF'd...just fade...I ain't swallowing the kool-aide...

I pray to Jehovah if I'm not supposed to be there then do your thing...but don't make it hurt...although, there are a few I would miss...but I still have my non-jw friends...they are do or die friends...not like JW's which are fair weather friends...

Yes, I did see the chart...& the #'s...why are they the poorest...is it by choice of design. I haven't been all over the world to see all the witnesses...so you have a point. But in my circle...they just say they are broke...

@Longhair girl, they do get angry because you have a good job with good pay. I'm known for having a giving spirit...I help when I can, but they tend to take advantage of me...well, let me rephrase that...I allow it...but I'm pulling back little by little. When there is a gathering, of course they ask me...so I can give a donation.

I hang with the witnesses for a while then pull away. I don't have a user gene. You are correct not all are users. But in my congregation they are...don't ask for money for a gathering, we wait until the last minute to give it to you...Then you look they got new hair styles on a weekly basis...new clothes...& I don't begrudge anyone having $$$, but to cry broke & I see what you drive & where...& travel....makes me say...ummmm..

I wonder if this weeks bible highlights will prick at some of their conscience with this scripture from Proverbs 13:7:There is one who pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;+There is another who pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth...Again, some feel that acting poor will get them points with Jehovah or Jesus, because Jesus said he had no place to lay his head...so many want to imitate the characteristic of Jesus but the loving part of Jesus, no they can't do that...

I'm not ashamed of making a good living...I know a sister that makes close to $100,000 per yr., yet she belly aches.

As long as I stay in the org., I will try to stay in my lane...& be grateful for a good paying job & yet remain humble...

I'm a witness...They also notice that even poor Witnesses are always nicely dressed and appear to be better off than others. Don't believe the hype, witnesses are not the poorest...they are the best at saying they are poor, it sounds more holy & think they are making points with Jehovah...I go to a congregation most of the folks live houses, condo's & co-op & not to mention they own property else where...they cry poor because they don't want the other friends to think they got money so they won't be asked. All of them have keys to a place to live. There are many users in congregation, looking for folks they can use...that's why many pioneer, so they feel the friends can take up the slack. Don't ask a married sister for no $$$...she'll say, I have to ask my husband...now most of you know the sisters are the ones the control the purse strings...also know folks who borrow & never give back, why? Because we are family.

Jehovah provides for the friends, believe me....but when you buy something, they say, well the FDS says keep a simple life. Most of them have cars, but won't give you a ride. I've seen folks have one type of car one week then another car the next month...oh yeah, they park it far away so no one will know.....I've seen some say they got rid of their car so they don't have to drive anyone home...yet, if you stay a little past the meeting, they tip around the corner & get in the car, THEY DON'T HAVE...

So JW's are not poor nor are they the least educated...they go to college, have $$, again, this is just for show for Jehovah & for the friends...

They think having money is a sin & satan is the one supplying the money..

Again, all don't believe the hype... if anyone reads the bible, ain't too many stories of poor folks & when it is...they are nameless...the bible was written by rich jewish men...
