Think they thought it was only the preaching work that was important.back in the days of Rutherford. It's to late now for them to change things. They probably gonna convert everything to online religion. The only thing they still gonna put any effort on will be the preaching, that they think it's what workt out for them.

Brothers with hearts. Where are they?
by stillin inone poster here mentioned how, after he was appointed as an elder, things took on a more "corporate" feel.
i was an ms and as such went, dutifully, to the bi-annual meetings with the co. i was sorely disappointed.
i had imagined sort of a round-table discussion of trends and potential difficulties in the congregation, along with a coordinated effort to help people out.

First of all if publisher starts improving he gets shut down by elder that are jealous of them. They usually want rutin and publisher not to improve to not shake things up. Plus they think it makes them look bad if someone that is not appointed make improvements. You have almost be a CO to make improvements in the platform and be left alone. They took a good decision shutting down the school. The quality of that arrangement is more a embarrassment the anything else. But that goes back to the ,40s when it started. If the organization didn't use God's name I would see it more like a comedy club.

They have a point...
by James Mixon inlast week in the sunday meeting a sister made a comment and collapsed, a massive heart attack.
one of the young brothers is a fireman and he gave her mouth mouth and according to the doctor this saved her life.
so if she had missed the meeting that day she would have surly died because her husband is not in great health.

There's another part to not forsaking to gather. not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
There's not much encourage in today's cold and boring gatherings. AKA kingdom halls meeting. First Christians would gather in houses.Eat and drink together. Sing phsalms. I see quoting Bible online as a gathering also.

In old Jerusalem the tempel were build with gold and precious stones. Crystals and gold are spiritual stones. When person enters the tempel right there he's in a more accepting mood for spiritual teachings. Old Jerusalem is the base how the 1000 years gonna be. There are not gonna be any kingdom halls made of cement there.

Shallowness in 4/29 Watchtower study
by Rattigan350 inmove forward as a spiritual person.. paragraph 2 "robert and his wife began passing time by quizzing each other on bible subjects.
his wife, a spiritually strong person, had no problem answering the questions, but robert found himself constantly embarrassed, not knowing what to say.".
there is no indication of how she fits the template of a spiritual person other than she can answer bible trivia.

I thought being spiritual was showing fruits of the spirit. I give her praise for quoting Bible text if we live still in time's of Jesus using the scrolls. But now you can just get Bible verses using an app.

It's a talk a person that has never improve in the platform (you can hear it from recordings years back) that you have to pay the airplane ticket. Plus the gasoline you pay fore to get to the assembly. And the money you have to put in the boxes. All this to be bored to death for some hours. But at least you can show of you been there and seem more spiritual to others😋😎

This organization use God's name. When puting God's name they accepted some things. To complete the preaching work. High quality on things like platform. And of course being a loving organization. As God is love. I just wonder if this organization didn't fullfil the requirements. Cause sens the year 1995 when the end of the 80 generation ended it's been downhill in the western world for them. And now it's spreading world-wide. One can not compare the energy in the congregation before the middle of the 90s and after. Maybe holy spirit already has made evaluation of things.

Withdrawing community support in the congs
by purrpurr ini've noticed in the past 10 years that the social support that used to be available in the congs, a shoulder to cry on, elders to help with family/marriage issues these seem to have been purposely withdrawn.
counsel is even heard from the platform that the elders are not there to help people with their problems.. so first in the 80s-90s they take away the congregation get to getters and social events and now they seem to be going one step further in taking away the emotional support for people too.. this will take away an aspect that i'm sure was keeping alot of people in the borg, the community support.
if that's not there and its just about meetings and ministry how many will start to get their emotional support elsewhere?.

Appointment has always had to do with how many hours you do each month. And if other elders like you. Last 4 years they been working on changing that. Watchtower wants the CO to choose the elders. And the main qualification was if the person show fruits of the spirit in there life. Imagine that a organization that claim to be Christian after about 140 years of existence gonna now apply the biblical principal of appointments have to be guided by holy spirit(fruits of the spirit). To bad that didn't work out for them. They send to letter's to congregations around the world that you don't want to show fruit's of the spirit you can't have a appointment. Seems the elders were not much interested in the change. So a third letters is not coming to congregations. Also person has to be sound of mind. Wonder if that's apply to not going around talking a about tights pants the hole time😋
