  Please note that the Watchtower will no longer be considered mandatory study material as a congregation after the last planned study-version of the Watchtower containing discussion of the changes and adjustments mentioned in this letter. [Time to be determined.] While we believe that the articles will continue to prove to be fortifying and educational, the individual congregations will organize how to structure their weekly gatherings and the materials to be considered as a congregation.

  Rather than continuing to burden our brothers and sisters with onerous requirements to engage in the public ministry and continuing to create an atmosphere and culture of perfection and service which can never be met and which seems more often to result in feelings of self-doubt, guilt and even depression, that the focus on becoming a person of high moral character and joyful in life will draw others who may be interested to inquire of us the reasons for our joy and exceptional attitude and character.   The urgent, lifesaving work of Jehovah's witnesses......hardly!!

  since june 2016 i have kept a journal of my encounters with jehovah's witnesses at my door or in my street.

  i'm a a nosey bastard and a bit of a home body when i'm not at work so i don't miss much of who comes past my home or knocks at the door.. will and dill.. they came to my door on a wednesday morning around 10:30am mid june 2016, i was on afternoon shift and had been reading bart ehrman "misquoting jesus".. what follows is the conversation as best i could recount after they left;.

  of the two young gentlemen, dillon, the younger in appearance introduced will and himself, he then proceeded to present me with a brochure about world conditions supposedly getting worse.. me: i could stand at the door nodding in agreement if you like?

  i have been in two congregations where someone moved in from the big city and took over with the attitude of the northerners when they go south, i come from where they do it right.

  like bulls in china shops they remove people and do the house cleaning like the political org cult it is.

  or maybe spoke to them abouth the ' flirty fishing method ' they were using back then?

  they seem to have been a lot like jws with service report, knocking on doors and the love bombing.

  On YouTube you find the talk.

  Its starts att the 28.00 minute mark.

  The short is. IF you see a women in convention. And she loves to Cook and clean house(No idea how you gonna see that by first look)😁. But she is overweigh you are not gonna pick her. But you maybe more interested in slimmer syster. But what happen is she cant cook or clean? You gonna pick her anyways?

  He was adressing the younger brothers. Probaly brothers that are 18.

  I think it probably was a great subject like 50 years Ago. Wounder how many young systers can Cook today 😁 They seem very out of touch with the times we ar living in this days. Probably living in a convent like Betel got them stuck in a 60s reallity.

  this statement was answered in a form of a question to a question posed by one of his followers;.

  jesus realized that composite slave had to qualify for such an appointment when he came into power of his kingdom promised by jehovah god.

  Dont know the point in putting up WT articals. They have already put out they are not guided, not perfect and make misstakes. They can basically write what ever they choose. No point taking out the bible and correcting them, cause they will say they are not spirit guided and its all personal opinions

  International convention Utrecht this weekend

  friends,.

  in an earlier posting gorby wrote about attending the international convention in utrecht this weekend, to keep the family happy and make some observations.. guests were gb member jackson and his assistent van der zande, a dutch helper of the gb.. 42.000+ attenders and +/- 250 baptisers.. the convention theme about "love" was not bad at all, from a christian viewpoint.. jackson and van der zande made a good presentation with humor.. the colorfull witness from arround the word were nice and nice to see.. typical witness doctrine about 1914, king of the north, being obient when your kingdom hall will be sold etcetera were hard to listen to.. but the love theme was not bad, and sometimes oké.. i see a transformation to an evangelical kind of tv church.. ifthe typical jw doctrine about years, endtime, education, blood and armageddon would be downplayed, gorby could see some positive side of jw-ism.. mainpoint is that jw try to show love but on a forced base, because they are told to do so.. but, not a bad convention, and a good, humble part of jackson and van der zande, did not expect this.. i write some positive because it is, what it is.. see your opinion.. gorby.

  Easy to make a convention abouth love. Just focus talks on that. Apply that in org or in KHs, not gonna happen.
