full page ad would really piss off the old cong. this could be bad if some still in the borg view you harmless and others might think youv'e just got something new to be over zealous about. like i say i like the ad(all of the above is even better) but i wouldn't have the guts to do it. if you do it and provide a good explanation it could also be a great witness against the WT but like i say i wouldn't have the balls for it.

by individuals wife inthere is a possibility that during my time as a jw i had knocked on every door and rang every doorbell and met just about every person in my whole area, especially during my over zealous pioneer episodes.
now that i have left i have the dilemma of how to show everyone i'm normal again!
it would be nice to walk down the street without sensing that everyone is trying not to meet your glance (mild paranoia!).

so, can a teenager be tricked into going immediately following HS graduation. could be a good selling point for desparate elders: kid has no prospects for ever learning salable skills, go to bethel , maybe even learn a trade (lol, scrubbing toilets more likely); just think teen never has to face the real world , room and board provided and maybe enough money to buy 2/3 pairs of socks per year.

what happened to the reqirement to pioneer for a year first. by the way didn't it used to be:
1) study 2 books
2)baptized at least6 months
3)pioneer at least 1 year
4)apply for beathel
has it really changed to just being baptized for 1 year? most elder's kids are baptized when 15/16 or so so this would enable them to get in right out of high school. good gimik for saying you can learn useful skills and never have to go to college. just finish HS, go to bethel, and wait for parents to send more money so they can brag that they got a kid in bethel! -

Don't you think it's kind of sad though that the christian thinks the dub is worked to death(totally true) and the dub probably has a big smile on his/her face when they say that they have 5 meetings per week. hardly seems like something to brag about to me.

my whole point was that the GB & R&F say 5. In the real world; however, i think it would be considered 3.( 2 of them having 2 parts).
Think of it this way if you're out on a date and you have dinner, take in a movie, and then go dancing - have you had 3 dates or just 1? In my opinion this 5 meetings expression is just part of "loading the language" so it isn't understood by outsiders. it drives me crazy because i do understand but still think it's a farce -
