Can you openly express doubts in the congregation these days?

i know of a lovely old sister who has been a jw for several decades now who openly expresses doubts about jw interpretations.. she does it in such a lovely way and everyone loves her.

she is such a sweet old soul, makes everyone happy around her.. she has said things like- even if we have got it wrong about this and that i still believe the bible is gods word”.

she answers up regularly and she goes on ministry groups but like most of us she is definitely jwlite, we don’t really do door to door work anymore.

This is an organization of people that says it follows God’s word; yet, it rejects the words of Christ and his example of speaking out for truth. If a JW tries to buffer or remain close-lipped to what they know is wrong, no matter how old or young they are, where is their integrity? Where is their belief in Jesus Christ? And where is their love for neighbor? Or, is it all about saving their own skin? John 16:2; Heb 13:11-14; Mark 8:35

Prov 11:3 – “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”

I’m not sure what this means!

yesterday i was visited by 2 witnesses, and we had a long chat about lots of things!

one of them named claire took the lead and i instantly felt some sort of connection to her, after we had spoken and they had left i started to have this overwhelming feeling to research her and what she had spoken about but i couldn’t find her anywhere on any website or social media, so i left it and thought nothing more of it all day….

however the strange thing is i had a dream that night and claire was in it, many things happened in this dream that i was told i was only allowed to speak about with claire, i can speak of the dream to others but the details only me and claire can know!

If your dream was from God or from Jesus, there would be no reason for either one of them to tell you that you can’t share any of the details, but only to Claire. If your dream was based on truth, why does it have to be a secret?

Jesus said, “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” Matt 10:27

The Watchtower organization hides its previous lies, to make room for more lies, that also become hidden. Their true agenda is hidden. Don’t be deceived! Satan’s deception appears as truth. Jesus’ truth exposes deception.

Your dream is leaning on, and twisting, the meaning of Rev 12:1-5. The Wt. organization believes that the “heavenly” organization (where a literal 144,000 male clones sit on literal thrones peering down on the those who live on the earth in their kingdom), which they call “mother”, gave birth to Jesus Christ, and he is taken up to this heavenly organization. How could that be when Jesus, as the “master worker” with God, created all things? (Prov 8:22-31; Acts 3:14-15) Their interpretation of it, supports their false date of God’s Kingdom beginning in 1914. Here’s a few quotes about it:

“The woman John here sees is also married to someone, and she is about to give birth. Who is her husband? Well, later her child is “caught away to God and to his throne.” (Revelation 12:5) Jehovah thus claims the child as his own. Therefore, the woman that John sees must be Jehovah’s symbolic wife.” Revelation book chapter 27

This woman represents God’s heavenly organization of faithful angels, and the “male child” to whom she gives birth represents God’s Kingdom, with Jesus Christ ruling as King.—Revelation 12:1-5, The Jerusalem Bible. w99 4/15 p. 10-11

As the “child” is not an individual person, so its mother, the “woman” in heaven, is not an individual person. Since this symbolic “woman” was made pregnant by God as her husband, she must picture God’s spiritual organization. w81 5/1 p. 21-22

The birth of Jehovah’s Kingdom by Christ, as pictured by the newborn child of God’s woman, was first explained in The Watch Tower of March 1, 1925. The birth of this Messianic Kingdom in heaven in 1914 differs from the birth of the “nation” of Zion’s ‘children’ on earth in 1919.—Isaiah 66:7,8. w89 9/1 p. 18-19

Can you make sense of it all? The “woman” of Revelation 12, represents a covenant, a promise of life, not an organization where the angels decided with God, that Jesus should be born. Gal 4:23-24,26 And why would the baby be wearing a crown of thorns? This is a sign of persecution that came upon Jesus by those who killed him. (John 19:1-3) This organization defies Jesus Christ. They shove his role as Savior aside and exalt their leaders and the organization that Claire must answer to. (Dan 8:25; Matt 24:24-25; Rev 13:1,2,4) Getting involved with the organization is getting trapped in the web of a poisonous spider.

Loyalty and dedication - "worship" - given to the Wt., is necessary in all facets of the life of a JW. They serve its needs, they obey its commands. The organization has been raised on a pedestal, and it can't be questioned without consequences. It is taught that it only, will survive their "Armageddon". Rev 13:4

rs pp 34-37 - “Others claim to believe the Bible but reject JEHOVAH’S ORGANIZATION.”

Do JWs identify themselves with God the Father, and Jesus Christ, or with “Jehovah’s organization”, a “beast” that disfellowships/kills any who reject IT?

Daniel was given visions that concerned his own people, those belonging to God. That includes his vision of the fourth beasts of Revelation 13:1,2,11,12, where the anointed priesthood of God are found. 1 Pet 2:5,9; Col 2:8; Dan 8:24;12:7; Rev 13:7,10

Duran - LOL. The deceiving being done here is by you in citing Scriptures falsely.

It translated Rev 13:14 correctly:

WEB - He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.

But I’ll give you the NKJV, will you accept that?

“And he deceives [a]those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.”

The footnote for “those” says, “my own people”.

Why are these translations saying this? Because in Rev 13:7,10 it says the Beast “makes war with the saints”, and in verse 10, it says that they are taken captive by the “sword”. And we know “sword” symbolizes the word of God. (Heb 4:12) As I previously said, the anointed were taken captive by a bit of truth, securing them in Satan’s trap. (Matt 24:24-25; Col 2:8; 1 Tim 4:1) The very end of this verse says, “here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” It is a testing period that Satan demands to put each anointed person through in the last days. (Luke 22:31) So, the Beast from the sea which is under the authority of the Beast from the “earth”, which represents a composite false prophet, (speaks like a dragon)…is religious, and is NOT the United Nations.

The “kings of the earth”, Christ’s kings (Rev 1:5,6) help us to see also, that the Beast which makes war with these “kings”/saints, is a religious “beast” – an idol, that requires a symbolic mark on the hand and the forehead. (2 Cor 6:16) Just like the Wt does, which requires a dedication to the organization. This is mentioned in the questions asked right before baptism. This means that those who “worship” the beast (Rev 13:4) follow its decrees instead of God’s. (Deut 6:6-9) But, since a false prophet is in control for now, this means it is preaching a “different Jesus”. (two horns like a lamb) (Rev 13:11,12; 2 Cor 11:3,4)

Don’t you see that this is why God’s people are being called out of “Babylon?” (Rev 18:4) where a Harlot/false prophet “from the earth”, has broken their covenant with God and Jesus, and are teaching lies? (Isa 24:5; Jer 22:9; Isa 28:14,15,18,19) And they are expecting allegiance, dedication to the Beast/organization that they “exercise authority” over? This false prophet “breathed spirit” into the Beast. (Rev 13:15) This fits the “spirit directed organization”/Watchtower perfectly, where God’s anointed are held captive to “empty philosophy”, and threatened with loss of family and friends, even their standing with "Jehovah", if they dare go against the Beast/elder body/man of lawlessness. (2 Thess 2:3,4; Col 2:8; Luke 21:16-17)

Rev 16:13-14 – “I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs; 14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty.

God’s holy people ARE the “inhabited earth”.

“For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.” 1 Cor 3:9

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Cor 3:16 NKJV

God’s Temple/building/dwelling in Spirit is found in the hearts of His anointed ones. (Luke 8:5-8,15; Matt 13:38; Mark 4:20; James 1:21; 2 Cor 1:21-22; John 14:23)

“building” – “having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Eph 2:20-22, NKJV

Eph 2:22 WEB – “in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.”

Unless they have left the organization, the anointed are in the Wt. “beast”, just as I have already said.

As for your other questions, I believe I had already mentioned that "144,000" were blameless, and never worshipped the Beast. While, the remnant, the "great crowd" who come out of the great tribulation, are victorious over the Beast. (Rev 14:1,5; 20:4; 15:2,3; 7:9-15) This remnant that "washed their robes and made them white n the blood of the lamb" - which signifies their need to be cleansed - join the symbolic "144,000" bringing in its full number needed for the completion of the Temple/New Jerusalem/Bride of Christ. Rev 21:1-3

Since Revelation is a book of “signs”, (Rev 1:1) numbers have greater meaning than what they appear on the surface in this book. We can’t apply them literally. If that was the case, then people would be walking around with the number “666” literally written on their forehead. (Rev 13:4,16-18) We cannot take the half hour of silence in heaven, (Rev 8:1) during the time when God’s saints are trampled, and truth was “thrown down to the ground”, as literal. (Dan 8:9-12; 2 Thess 2:3-4; Rev 11:1-2; 13:6-7) God’s heavenly timetable is not our literal timetable.

For ”one hour” the Beast from the sea is in power after it throws out the Harlot/false prophet who “exercises all authority” over it previously. (Rev 13:11-12; 17:15-18,12)

(these symbolic “10 kings who have not received a kingdom”, are the unsealed anointed who remain in the Beast, giving their authority over to it, instead of turning to Christ)

One literal hour would not be enough time to restructure an organization, to get it up and running again, before it is thrown into the “lake of fire” along with the false prophet. (Rev 19:20; Jer 23:29)

False prophet – “I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. 12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.”

The ”kings of the earth” are Christ kings (Rev 1:5-6) that either listen to the call to get out, (Rev 16:13-16) and turn away from their sins, or remain in the Beast.

Not necessarily. If truth is mixed with lies, it may all be accepted as "truth". (Matt 7:15-20)

Col 2:8 - Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elements of the world, rather than Christ. 9 For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ, 10 and you have been filled by him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

If you died with Christ to the elements of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations: 21 “Don’t handle, don’t taste, don’t touch”? 22 All these regulations refer to what is destined to perish by being used up; they are human commands and doctrines. 23 Although these have a reputation for wisdom by promoting self-made religion, false humility, and severe treatment of the body, they are not of any value in curbing self-indulgence.

Looks to me like Paul saw anointed ones falling for human doctrine, drifting away from the truth in Christ. This is exactly what has happened to anointed ones in the organization. I've heard JWs say that even though false teachings have come and gone, the "core teachings" are solid truth. For that, the organization will always remain "the truth".

King Solomon knew God's decrees, His truth. As God's anointed King, he was blessed with immense wisdom by the Spirit of God. Yet, he fell, and he fell hard into idolatry and sin.

Duran - I think it is safe to say that TRUE anointed love truth, therefore they would never believe the LIE/be deceived, so it will not be possible to lead them astray.

So many who have left the organization believed they were “in the truth” only to find after waking up, that they were practicing the lie. Have you heard of Ray Franz? He was a genuine anointed one, and on the GB! He thought he was “in the truth”, until something clicked, and with God’s grace, the man fully awakened and gave a testimony of truth. (Isa 29:18-19) This led to his disfellowshipping, considered a spiritual “killing”. (Rev 6:9-11) In the long run, those who go through this test, come out as victors over the “Beast”. (Rev 2:10) Many anointed that I know, thought they were “in the truth” as well, and embraced it. It took time, sometimes years to realize we were trapped in the lie.

Jer 5:26 - ‘For wicked men are found among My people,
They watch like fowlers lying in wait;
They set a trap,
They catch men.

2 Cor 11: "I wish you would put up with a little foolishness from me. Yes, do put up with me! For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy, because I have promised you in marriage to one husband—to present a pure virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!

Wasn’t Paul warning those that they were deceived into believing a lie? These ones, were not “blameless”.

The scriptures warned the anointed and all continually, about not being deceived, not kowtowing to men, not believing in “another doctrine”. Jesus was perfect, but Satan still tested him in the wilderness. (Luke 4:1-13) The anointed are not perfect, and they sin just as anyone else. They must prove their worth, and many fall. (2 Pet 3:17-18) Satan knows our weak points, and he will try to use them against us to bring about our downfall.

Col 2:18-19 “Let no one condemn you by delighting in ascetic practices and the worship of angels, claiming access to a visionary realm. Such people are inflated by empty notions of their unspiritual mind. 19 They don’t hold on to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and tendons, grows with growth from God.”

These were anointed that fell away from their Head, Jesus Christ. So you see, Satan can lead the anointed into believing a powerful delusion. They learn to love the lie, over the truth in Christ.

2 Cor 4:3,4 - "But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. "

Look at this translation for Matt 24:24-25 – “For false Christs shall arise, and false prophets, and will do wonderful miracles so that if it were possible, even God’s chosen ones would be deceived.”

2 Thess 2: “Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him: We ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to be easily upset or troubled, either by a prophecy or by a message or by a letter supposedly from us, alleging that the day of the Lord has come.

“What remarkable events Revelation chapter 12, verses 7 through 17, describes concerning “the Lord’s day” since 1914! W 92/5/1 p 17

Who else but the Wt. has predicted so widely that the “Lord’s day” or that the “day of the Lord” came in 1914?

2 Thess 2: “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s temple, proclaiming that he himself is God.”

Sitting indicates ruling with authority. (Luke 22:69) The elder body not anointed, rule over the anointed living stones of God’s spiritual Temple; and apparently, this authority cannot be challenged without suffering consequences.

Reading Ezek 44:6-9 shows what happens when foreigners entered God physical temple, either taking over priestly duties, or simply profaning it by their presence. This is an abomination, and it is occurring once again in the Wt. (2 Chron 13:9; Num 3:10)

1 Cor 3:16,17 - Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and that is what you are.”

2 Thess 2:7 – “The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with every kind of miracle, both signs and wonders serving the lie,

False prophets were said to come and work great wonders, miracles and signs, deceiving the elect. Matt 24:24

2 Thess 2: 10 and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie, 12 so that all will be condemned—those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.

Why would God “send” a strong delusion? Satan has demanded to sift the anointed as “wheat”, all of them from the first century. (Luke 22:31)

Duran – “Your so-called anointed within JW land are not without blemish, and there was deceit in their mouth with those false teachings. Something that would never have happened if they tested what they were being taught before accepting it as true.”

As you said, none of the sealed symbolic “144,000” were deceived. They were found blameless. (Rev 14:4-5) And as you said, this is not so with the remaining remnant of anointed in the last days. They are under a strong delusion of the lie that “Jehovah’s organization”, an idol, will lead them to salvation. (Rom 1:25) God allows this sifting of hearts, this choice of free will, just as was the case in the days of the Pharisees.

The “144,000” sealed anointed did not worship the Beast or its image of “spirit directed” (Rev 13:4,15). Why? The Beast came after their time of testimony during their lifetimes when on earth, resulting in their beheading. When the Beast arose from the abyss, it’s false prophets (Rev 13:11,12) went to work “captivating” the remnant (Col 2:8; Rev 13:10).

So, the 144,000 that never worshipped the Beast had nothing to do with it at all. But, scriptures tell us that the “great crowd” that comes out of the great tribulation spoken of in Matt 24:24,25, gain victory over the Beast.

“Then I saw another great and awe-inspiring sign in heaven: seven angels with the seven last plagues; for with them God’s wrath will be completed. 2 I also saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had won the victory over the beast, its image, and the number of its name, were standing on the sea of glass with harps from God.” Rev 15:1-2

They were disfellowshipped, spiritually “killed” for their testimony to Christ, (Rev 11:1-7,11,12; Zech 4:11-14) and by that testimony, they gained eternal life. They individually, conquered the devil. (Rev12:10) Do you see that it mentions the “number of its name”?
