2 Cor 5:20 in their bible: Therefore, we are ambassadors SUBSTITUTING for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us. As SUBSTITUTES for Christ, we beg: “Become reconciled to God.”

You'll not find those words in the Greek Interlinear, but they come in handy now for the GB to push their weight around. So, in the quote saying that the anointed are “ambassadors for God” (their version of God) instead of Christ; and here, that the anointed are substitutes for Christ, really shows their desire to push Christ out of the way.

They always demean Jesus, and they always tell lies about what the anointed are to do and what they can't do, or what they will do in the Kingdom. Their magazine states that they are not to bond together to study the Bible, as this translates into forming an "elite group"; in reality, it threatens their organizational "unity" to adhere only to the teachings of the GB and the elder writing committee, who are bonded. (Matt 24:48-51; Rev 13:16,17)

Almost their entire doctrine about the anointed is a lie. Jesus walked the earth as the second Adam, inheriting what Adam lost. (1 Cor 15:45; Gal 3:16; 3:29) He taught and helped people face to face, but look at what their doctrine has done. They have kept him and the anointed members of his spiritual body, from walking the earth ever again in their picture of "paradise", which is a lie. (Gen 28:10-17; John 1:51; Heb 1:6-7 - "angels" are messengers, messengers are priests Mal 2:7; 1 Pet 2:5,9) (Matt 24:48-51)

Who takes the place to teach the ancient resurrected ones like Daniel? Their hand-picked elders who hide child abuse, who defend the teachings of false prophets. Why would prophets have to be brought up to speed about Jesus Christ when their messages prophesied about him? God put His words in their mouths to prophesy. Do they really believe that elders appointed not by God’s spirit, but by men, will teach those faithful ones chosen by God during their physical lives? The revealed message of Revelation includes what the prophets have said. (Rev 10:7)

It's just nauseating to think about the result of the "trap" that has developed, specifically to gather the anointed remnant, and place before them, a slanderous lie. (Luke 22:31; Matt 24:24,25; 2 Tim 3:1-9; 2 Pet 2:1-3)

They have changed women into men by the illustrations of “heaven”; and all of the men obviously have no personality - they are all clones. How do JWs look at that and not see how ridiculous it is? They have glorified the GB as "faithful and discreet" even though Jesus is the only one who makes that call at his return. (Matt 25:21) They have built an empire and enslaved all who fall into it, by using a few grains of biblical truth. (Amos 3:5; Prov 1:17-19) How is any of this possible?

"Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared." 1 Tim 4:1,2

Well, the apostle Paul as one of the foundation “stones” of the spiritual Temple, mentioned he was an acting priest. (Rom 15:15,16 CSB) The anointed are priests, chosen to serve as a holy priesthood, and to teach the people God’s laws. (Isa 43:10; 1 Pet 2:5,9; Mal 2:7) But, only the GB serve as a “priest”, (if they are all anointed) and not for the spiritual Temple of God, but for their organization, teaching organizational doctrine instead of the laws in Christ. Makes you wonder why this religion touts of having anointed “saints” with them for the last 100 years, and yet they are not used as “priests” to serve the people.

I believe this is why: Matt 24:24,25; Matt 7:15,20; Luke 17:23

thesis: when someone who is given a responsibility mistakes that responsibility for authority, bullying is very likely to occur.. jesus spoke an illustration recorded at matthew 24: 45-51 which well illustrates this thesis.. jesus asked, “who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over all his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?

It seems to indicate that the faithful servant turns wicked. And then what are we left with, no one teaching truth, right? (Mal 2:7) But that can’t be right, since the GB have told lies from the beginning. They've never been faithful to the truth of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, if Jesus is asking his servants the question and gives two scenarios of a faithful servant and a wicked servant, there’s got to be two, not just one. But verse 48 doesn’t appear to read that way. Yet, his teachings show us in several places how to determine the good servants he sends, and the bad servants, the wolves that come in sheep’s clothing. He even makes it clear that the bad servants/false prophets that rise up, will mislead the "elect"/chosen. Matt 24:5,24,25; 7:15-20; 1 John 4:1;1 Tim 4:1

In verse 45, he seems to be saying that from among the “faithful” servants, he chooses one to serve food to the household at the proper time. Verse 48 never set well with me and I’ve looked at several translations.

“But suppose THAT servant”. I concentrated on “that” and looked at a couple of interlinear translations– one is scriptures4all, the other is the Kingdom Interlinear copied here.

I noticed how the word “that” is positioned differently – the same is found in scriptures4all.

δὲ(but) εἴπῃ(might say) ὁ(the) κακὸς(bad) δοῦλος(slave) ἐκεῖνος(that) ἐν(in) τῇ(the) καρδίᾳ(heart) αὐτοῦ(of him) Χρονίζει(Is taking his time) μου(of me) ὁ(the) (lord,) 49 καὶ(and)

ἄρξηται(he should start) τύπτειν(to be beating) τοὺς(the) συνδούλους(fellow slaves) (of him,) ἐσθίῃ(may be eating) δὲ(but) καὶ(and) πίνῃ(may be drinking) μετὰ(with) τῶν(the (ones)

The bad slave, not "that" slave, doesn’t seem connected with the faithful slave. I see two different slaves and outcomes. Interestingly, the bad slave is moaning over the fact that Christ’s coming is delayed. Well, there is no other religion that I know of that not only has a counterfeit “faithful slave” but who has set failed dates for Christ’s return several times. But do they beat the other anointed servants of Christ? Well, yeah, more than ever now. The elders are the priests and “kings”, “representing the royal priesthood”. (wt 02/8/1 p. 9-14) The anointed are told to accept it and not challenge their authority. If they challenge it, they are “thrown out of the synagogue”. Dan 8:10,11; John 16:2; Rev 13:15

Does the GB eat and drink with drunkards – the elders who are fully dedicated to teach their doctrine?

Isa 28:7-10 - Even these stagger because of wine and stumble under the influence of beer: priest and prophet stagger because of beer, they are confused by wine. They stumble because of beer, they are muddled in their visions, they stumble in their judgments. 8 Indeed, all their tables are covered with vomit; there is no place without a stench.

It's really amazing. Jesus said to store up for ourselves, treasures in heaven, not on earth. (Matt 6:19-20) They preach a "different" or "another" Jesus, to accommodate their earthly lusts. (2 Cor 11:4) And why would God want valuable things in the light of Acts 17:24,25,29-31? He has said, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice". Matt 9:13

This sickening quote is just one that proves their defiance to the words of Christ.

Wt 16/11 p. 19-20 - "Love for God and neighbor and the urgency of the Kingdom-preaching work move God’s people “to come forward . . . with a gift in hand for Jehovah” by making voluntary donations. How thrilling it is to “honor Jehovah with [our] valuable things” and to see how such resources are used faithfully and discreetly to do the greatest work in human history!

Phil. 3:19 - "Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things."

I have to say, I reacted strongly to @AnnaNana's comment and I apologize. She - you - are obviously waking up; and probably for many of us, it took time to weed out lies from our hearts and minds - the stumbling blocks, those "strongly entrenched things", as they call them. (2 Cor 10:4,5) Sometimes, it takes years before we no longer revert back to their false doctrines.

Where is there scriptural proof that God chose to put His spirit into an earthly organization 150 years ago? There is none! What is so unusual about it, that delineates its existence as different from other organizations? Nothing, except that genuine “anointed” have always been a part of it. Something to take note of. (Matt 7:15-20; 24:24,25; 48-51; Rev 13:1,2,5-7,11,12,15; John 16:2,3)

“I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20:29,30

Distort the truth. Doesn’t every JW say they are “in the truth”, when not one prediction taught as "truth", has come true?

Although the organization repeatedly compares itself with Moses the prophet, leading Israel, miracles happened in that day. What miracles have happened in the organization? Needed sand blowing in from a tropical storm in time to help build a kh? Ridiculous reasoning. The development of MEPS? A short-lived miracle since the internet is now available for everyone to translate whatever they need. The building of Warwick, on polluted land and using free labor and donated money? Obviously, that accomplishment was through deceitful cleverness.

Although a rare occurrence, when judges and kings ruled righteously, the people were blessed. When they ruled wickedly, the people suffered. There was no “organization” that received blessings, it was the people. There was no organization expecting devotion and service from its members. When they weren’t rebellious to God’s decrees; when they resisted idolatry, the people were amply blessed - all of them. They were under covenant with God, and when they transgressed the covenant, God removed His protection from the nations surrounding them. (Deut 28; Isa 48:18; Lam 2:3; Jer 23:29)

Who is blessed in the organization? Victims of child or spousal abuse? Shunned and disfellowshipped ones? Those that died in Malawi? Those that scrape their funds together to give to men who have all their needs met, and have no idea what it means to follow in the footsteps of Christ? (Luke 9:23; Matt 5:10,11) How does one measure blessings in the organization? By unquestionable obedience to organizational laws, which leads to privileges and prestige. In the Wt., it’s okay to follow false doctrine, as long as a JW obeys the men who speak them. Trust them, even if they lead you spiritually astray. Is that really what God expects? Jer 23:16

The construction of the ark of the covenant and the tabernacle were built by the plans Moses saw in heaven. (Heb 8:5) They became the dwelling of God’s spirit, and how He resided with the people. So…did Russel (who loved the pyramid) or Rutherford (who loved power) have a vision showing how to build the WB&TS? Would God have said, “build it similar to the religious organization already established on the earth, the Catholic Church”? "But I will allow My spirit to dwell only in your organization”?

It is a “temple built by human hands” and to be respected, praised and worshiped. (Acts 17:23-25,29) To JWs, it is invincible. (Rev 13:4) It is exalted in the minds of loyal JWs, yet Jesus told us that no physical place would be considered God’s spiritual dwelling. (John 4: 21-24) He dwells within the heart of those who seek Him. (John 14:23) It seems to me that the organization was built on the premise of rebellion against the words of Jesus Christ and the spiritual temple built on his anointed body. (Isa 43:10; 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22)

We are to stand on our own two feet before Jesus, not under a blanket religious rule that obviously leads the people into idolatry toward an organization, and devotion to men who tell lies that have been brazenly documented. (Rom 1:25,32) Lies have always been a serious matter with God; why in this day, among the anointed, would they be dismissed as a little thing? (Prov 12:22; Luke 6:45; Matt 12:36) What spirit is really behind it? (1 Tim 4:1,2)

The organization’s existence, its message, and its rulership has brought people to ruin – physically and spiritually. One should ask, why would God “dwell” in corruption? (Col 2:8; Rev 13:10)

Do you expect the forum to sit down and bible study the verse citations while we read your post?

A POMI? No, I was disfellowshipped some years ago. With all questions they fired at me, it was disbelief in 1914 that pulled the trigger. But leaving never meant I wanted to stop believing in the scriptures. With study, I deepened my belief. Wt. doesn’t have the corner on the word of God; really, it never has; but it certainly has slandered it with doctrine of men. So, since this is a forum where JWs may come and go, I use God’s word to refute the organization’s lies. Whether one wants to read a scripture I may post, is up them. I have no expectations.

I wonder how many JWs actually believe in following the example of Jesus Christ. This "system" of belief is corrupt. Jesus didn't mince words when letting his people know their lies. He warned them of the harm that was coming upon them; and he would never have attempted to "rise to offices of highest authority", to fix the problem. John 18:36 Watchtower's sins are much bigger than any one man can "fix". (Rev 18:4-8)

Truth is light, lies are darkness. In that sense, it is an "in or out" issue, if one follows Christ. Matt 5:11; Mark 8:35-38; John 16:2,3; Heb 13:13; Rev 13:15

Religiously "divided" households can certainly coexist happily peaceful, and it is a beautiful magnanimous thing when it can be achieved. Good on them.

How can that be, if one spouse believes that religious unity is thriving under the family arrangement when a PIMO spouse keeps hidden his true beliefs and valuable information that could save his or her partner from future harm?

If one wakes up to the deceit practiced by the leadership, is it not another form of deceit to hide what a person has come to know about the organization, by keeping that truth hidden from their loved ones? Can one ever trust himself after acting against what truth requires? (Eph 5:11) I wonder how far I would have gotten in waking up, if my husband and oldest son didn't stop going to the meetings, and clearly told me why.

No one in the organization is benefitting from the leadership's continual wicked attempt to hide the truth...about themselves, about JWs, about the anointed, about Jesus Christ and the Father...that scriptures reveal. I know there are PIMOs getting info out of the organization and into our hands. But you know, it will all come out soon enough. Luke 8:17

No one benefits, if one attempts to hide the truth they have come to know. I believe hiding behind a façade is a “putting off” of the inevitable.

I totally agree, but the natural, compassionate instinct of fellow man enacted in a life-threatening situation that we may come upon, is to help people find safety - to get away from harm's way as soon as possible. The account of the Good Samaritan comes to mind.

It’s a twisted ball of yarn for sure. God’s Word as stated in scripture is “inspired”. 2 Tim 3:16-17 The words of Christ are of “Spirit”, his teachings are inspired. The “word” from “Jehovah’s organization” is also “inspired”. Since God or Jesus apparently direct the organization through words, then whatever doctrines are distributed, are or become, inspired. I don’t know what year this teaching began, but we know the organization was labeled by its false teachers as the “spirit-directed organization”; thus, it is inspired. So, the GB can easily say they are not inspired, but then direct attention to the source of the organization’s inspiration, as their scapegoat for their failed teachings. Either it’s not God’s time to show them “new light”, or “Jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food.” (w 17/02)

And yet Jesus said, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7 He is Truth. His words would never falter, never be wrong. (John 14:6)

It's horrible that these men convince JWs that any new words/doctrine from the mouths of uninspired men, are “truth”. They’ve created their own modified “word of God”, to fit their organization - their idol.

I can totally see the spiritual “beasts” of Revelation applying to the Watchtower and its false prophets. One “directs” the other. (Rev 13:11,12) Anyone who rejects either one or both, is “killed”, disfellowshipped. The UN, whom they say is the “Beast” of Rev 13:1 doesn’t hunt down and kill people who reject it – especially the “saints”/chosen ones. That entity doesn't even know who they are. (Rev 13:5-7;11:1-3,7)

Rev 13:15 - The second beast was ·given power [or allowed] to give ·life [breath; a spirit] to the idol of the first one so that the idol could speak. And the second beast was ·given power [allowed] to ·command [cause; make] all who will not worship the ·image [idol] of the beast to be killed. (EXB)

Many people put their faith, hope and confidence in God, without attaching Him to an organization - - "Jehovah's organization". That is something that JWs cannot, and will not do. It begs the question, which is more important in the life of a JW, God, or the organization.

False. JW have erred in interpreting the year of the great tribulation but not in interpreting prophecy or scriptures relating to the time of the end and the overall meaning of the Bible and the meaning of each scripture in the Bible such as hell, mortality of the soul, Jesus is not God, etc. —Too many to mention. The Bible educational work of JW is the greatest in human history. As Jesus predicted that his followers would do work greater than his proving JW have the backing of Jesus.

Surely you are joking? Why would Jesus back a lie, or a predicted date for Armageddon that failed...more than once? Why would Jesus support disfellowshipping, a wickedness which fosters love among the greater number to grow cold? (Matt 24:12) Why would he support an earthly organization riddled with child abuse, lawyers and court cases?

Yes, surely you must joking. Please forgive me if I fell for the joke.
