You sweet little thing. You state that the Gentile Times began in 70 CE and not 607 BCE, if this is the case what then is the duration of these times and when did it end?

as jws we learned the utmost central watchtower doctrine that jesus returned "invisibly" in 1914 (well it was 1874, but then j. f. rutherford decided jesus really, really, really returned at a later date ... this is also known to jws as "jesus second presence" (greek: parousia = english: presence):.

Hey come on! I simply responded to a question from Marvin Shilmer and I did not present my reply as definitive proof. It is simply fact that in the nineteenth century many sincere Bible have long recognized the significance of the Gentile Times and some applied chronology to determine its significance and it was determined by some that it would expire in 1914 which saw the Great War. Now it is up to all individuals themselves to accept or reject but I cannot change the developments of Church history. Russell and his associates took up the challenge and correctly discerned the significance of the Gentile Times and the Parousia. If you are a a non believer or an athiest then such matters are of no consequence and frankly whether you choose to believe or disbelieve is immaterial to me.and I cannot be bothered in trying to convince you otherwise.

Perhaps you may find the matter comical but I feel that when a person comes out publicly renouncing his previously held Christian beliefs and then has the pomposity to be taken seriously on Scriptural matters is a attitude that I find repugnant as you should if you are a Christian.

Are you stupid? I answered your question. The end of the Gentile Times in 1914 was eagerly awaited by many expositors in the nineteenth century and even some of the clergy of Christendom in England agreed that the Gentile Times had expired avvording to their published Manifesto.

You make iy very plain that you you do not have the intellect to defend your stupidity because you do not believe in Jesus and Christianity. You have stated as much publicly. Good riddance.

If the the buffoon Carl Jonsson can base his hypothesis on a single Hebrew preposition for Jeremiah 29:10 then I see no reason why I cannot use the translation of a Greek verb to prove that the parousia in Matthew is presence and denotes an invisible presence at that.

The NWT is absolutely correct in the translation of mello followed by the infinitive in Mark 13:4 and Luke 21:7 because in the interlinear reading it translates melle literally as"may be about'' which agrees with Bauer.s definition and is rendered in the English translation as ''are destined'' which is also listed by Bauer as a suitable definition. According to Greek Grammars the verb mello in the present tense and even in the subjunctive mood followed by the present tense infinitive is a Durative Future Subjunctive or if in the Indicative Mood would be a Durative Future Indicative. The NWT correctly recognizes this by using the expression are destined which suitably signifies the Present Tense and a Durative Future Aspect.
Why do you not present both the Interlinear and the English translation of this verb followed by the infinitive to a competent Greek scholar for an informed opinion? I am confident that the NWT a translation on the cutting edge of biblical scholarship will be vindicated in this respect.
