have da'd myself nearly 3 months ago.

now i am part of this world but i feel myself the odd one out.

something inside me is still blocking me to do the things i have been longing to do while i was still a jw, such as attending birthday parties, sex, etc.... just last nite, i was on the way to attend a birthday party.

Not to go on a tangent, but if the military in your country still engages in bayonet fighting, you might consider emigrating altogether.

Hey, interesting...I consulted a ex jw who have compromised and join the army in the 70's. He told me that the most traumatic part for him is the bayonet fighting part.

He is trained on how to kill an enemy using the bayonet.

They no longer use the bayonet anymore? How do they train now? Need to check out with my worldly friends who are in the army. I don't think I will have problem shooting a missile at the enemy or dropping a bomb on them. But not piecing a bayonet at someone's chest....

If you are "sinning" against anyone it would be against yourself because YOU have to live with the consequences of your decisions and actions.

Thank you for your advice. The advice I received from the ppl here is so different from the advice I receive from those in the org. I am sick of their advice. The advice I get from here is so practical so down to earth. When I seek their advice, they seldom give me scriptural advice. Instead they will point me to what awake! and wt say about that topic... the fds say this, fds say that.

There is another thing that you guys have proved them wrong. They say never visit ex jw sites. They are just wanting to pull jw out to join them. Once you are out, nobody will care about you. But you guys have proved them wrong. I have received much needed advice and support from you guys.

But really I wanted to explore sex. I am sick of my friends teasing me and called me the 16 y.o. virgin boy. Next month they will start calling me 17 y.o. virgin boy. I can don't celebrate birthdays, xmas, etc .. but I wanted a sexual experience. A close friend of mine say they can make me drunk so that I will not have any guilty feelings. But uncle Still Totally Add advises me to have safe sex and you reminded me that I have to bear the consequences of my action...I will take heed of these advice.

Just so that I understand where you are coming from - What was your reason for disassociating, was it so that you could "sin"?
I donated to help victims of philippines typhoon. Collected by Salvation Army. Was counselled but I don't think I did anything wrong.
I requested to know why WT apply to join the wild beast. I ask in a mild voice. I thought they have a reason for it. But the elder shouted at me and ask me if I have been visiting ex JW sites. I said no. A classmate printed it out and pass it to me.
I demanded to know why WT predicted the end of the world in 1975 when Jesus have said no one knows..
They did not give me an answer that satisfy me. They called my mom and told her that I need to stop all these questions. I can be DF'd for it.
I told my mum it is like an israelite being stone to death when he asked Moses why he worship the golden calf. I told her I doubt that they are really God's people.
I went up my room. Think for nearly 2 hours. I cannot denied that during these 2 hours, I have thought of the freedom to sin after I have DA'd. I have always thought of exploring sex since I started puberty. I wrote the DA letter. But I regreted it later. I should have waited for my dad to come back from his business trip and tell him about it first.

Have DA'd myself nearly 3 months ago. Now I am part of this world but I feel myself the odd one out. Something inside me is still blocking me to do the things I have been longing to do while I was still a JW, such as attending birthday parties, sex, etc...

Just last nite, I was on the way to attend a birthday party. But while I was about to reach the destination, I stopped, turn around and went back home. Several opportunites in the past 3 months to engage in immorality but I didn't go all the way.

Now I am worried about my military obligation in a year's time. Will I be able to get myself involve in bayonet fighting?

Been 16 years under bondage by the org. (since birth). The only sin so far is smoking and heavy petting .

I am not that young. I'll turn 17 next month. A brother was df'd when he was 16 and was chase out of the house.

I will be in the army when I turn 18. The elders will have a very good reason to force my dad to chase me out of the house.

If my dad still refuse to chase me out, will he be df'd?

How much do you think the internet has hurt JW growth?

the internet is what helped bring me and so many others out of this evil organization or at least confirmed our doubts.

i have to say, i have seen quite a few youtube videos recently of ex jw's secretly recording their interactions inside of different congregations, halls, etc and see how empty the halls are!

so many people comment on how the attendance is so low, far more emptier than when i was in 6 years ago, even on a weekday meeting.

But not every JW will check out sites that goes against the org. These are apostates sites written by those who have sinned against J and were disfellowshipped. Checking on these sites would be sinning against the spirit. This was what a bro told me.

Even after I have DA'd, I don't dare to check on these sites. If it wasn't that some bros and sis shunned me like I have leprosy that I started to visit ex JW sites.

Do you know how I feel after I DA'd? I'm worried and confused. Did I do the right thing? Is the end coming soon and I will be killed? My parents don't talk to me. I can see that they still love me but they need to shun me. Luckily they didn't chase me out of the house. They still give me allowances for school. I just need someone to talk to. JWs shunned me. I wanted to talk to my parents but I can't. Worldly friends don't understand a damn thing. The only ppl I can turn to is ex-JWs.

I am very lucky. My parents still give me allowances when I go school. When I sick, my dad still bring me to the doctor.

When I tell them that they are suppose to shun me, my dad told me he still need to fulfill his duty as parents.
