  What if Damascus is destroyed fulfilling Isaiah 17 prophecy?

  i don't think the wt ever say anything about this prophecy.

  if they did, i think they will say it is symbolic and that it doesn't mean damascus will be destroyed literally,.

  but watching the things happening now in syria , it seems very possible that it could happen.. if this prophecy comes true, will those of you here who have rejected the bible as the word of god think twice regarding the bible?.

  I have just left the wt 9 mths ago. I still cannot say I have completely regard the bible as bullshit. I have to admit that there is still a belief lingering inside my head that the bible is true.

  Many times I have tried to shrug it off. But it just keep on coming back.

  Please let me know what you think if bible prophecies come true.

  Is it better to have a false hope than have no hope?

  just got the news.

  a very close classmate of mine met an accident and died last nite.... just 4 months after i da'd from the borg.. if i am still in, i wouldn't be so sad.

  he has the hope of resurrection.. but now that i am out, i realise that resurrection in paradise is all bullshit.. so what's next?

  between 1995 and now, you never did an internet search of "jehovahs-witness" or "watchtower"?

  I remembered I first visited xjw sites a year or 2 ago when I was just 14 or 15 y.o.

  The first few posts frightened me....they are mocking Jehovah's name..they are sinning against the holy spirit!

  I DA'd in june this year. I have doubts on the wt. But I still think the Bible is God's word.I needed support after I da'd. But I still dare not visit xjw sites. Then came september, there is a lot of fuss regarding Rev 12 and sept 23rd. I needed answers on it. I have a choice, visit jw or xjw sites. I choose the latter. In about 3 weeks, you guys convinced me that the bible is just a book of bullshit!

  one of my posts keep re posting when i haven't tryed to post it again.. like a week ago i tried to post i was suck in a loop i tryed three times and it has posted 5 times..

  AKid, hit submit button only once.

  I also have experienced a few times. After I hit submit, it keeps on saying "submitting..." non-stop. I go make a cup of coffee. When I'm back, it is still submitting.

  Why are you guys so impatient???

  Smiddy3 was baptised in 1960. That was just 57 years ago. To the big J it is less than 2 hours ago...Divide 1000 by 24, 1 hour to him is 41 years to us..

  The end is really near...maybe by today or tomorrow (Jeh's time)...

  Shunning accountability – To god or men?

  i have met this brother a few times after i da’d.

  in the past, when i met him, he was with another jw.

  i am sure he saw me but he just continue walking, pretending not to see me.

  I have met this brother a few times after I DA’d. In the past, when I met him, he was with another JW. I am sure he saw me but he just continue walking, pretending not to see me.

  But today he was alone. He walked up to me to say “Hi!” and asked me how I am getting along.

  This cause me to wonder :

  Who are they afraid of offending, god or other JWs when they talk to 'sinners'? If they fear they will be offending J, whether they are with another jw or they are alone, they shouldn’t speak to me!
  

  Or are they thinking that J will understand and forgive them for talking to ‘sinners’ but other jws will not?

  Who are they worshipping? God or men?

  my family hasnt signed the blood paper but still say no blood (well the adults do).i overheard a elder taking to my aunt about the blood papaers she needs to fill out.but he also aid she needs a make a small little letter saying i wont take blood.some times i wish i never heard that talk.. even tho i knew i would have to stand up for me being hable to have life.now i just zone out and think will i die for something thats a lie?.

  im going to try not to think about it for a little my head hurts after this..

  Akid48, you didn't tell the readers here that you are just 13 y.o.

  You are still consider a minor. Even though you may be conscious and agreed to blood transfusion, your guardian may override your decision. Hope I am wrong about this.
