We are giving too much power to the watchtower
by sinboi ini am just 17. many of you here are much older than me.. i do feel that offering advice here is like teaching my father how to fuck.
but seriously, i do see the problem here.
we are focusing more on the problem than the solution.. i have been reading mind power books for quite some time.

Shit!!!! I know what the wt can say even if I prove myself happy and am not ensnared by the devil after leaving:
"The Devil is using every means to get Jehovah's people out of the organisation. He is shrewd and may choose to leave one or two unscathed so that more in the cong will follow suit. Some of those who left may appear to be happier after leaving. Can anyone be truly happy outside Jehovah's organisation?"
All my effort will be wasted!!!

Uncle Flipper, thanks for your comment, .
I am not only young, I am naive too. I thought it can be solved so easily. Every family has its own circumstances. A solution that works for one family may not work for another.
I learnt another lesson in life : I need to see the world more, understand people more before offering any advice. A solution may work in theory but not work in practice.
I also need to thank you for the kind manner you explain it to me.
To those who are offended by my post, I am sorry. I never intend to offend anyone here. My intentions are good and really thought that it can help you.
I really laugh at myself : I f* a girl once . Go home and wanted to teach my father how to f*! LOL!

The WBT$ mind control has a very negative effect on anyone that lets them into their minds. The WBT$ slaps labels onto us to ensure the Jobo feels that there is no further need for discussion.
Yes, that is exactly the point I am driving at. I know it because I have tried. The moment you tried to tell why you want to leave, they will shut their mind's door. My dad even have to make an agreement with me. As long as I don't try to influence their beliefs, he won't chase me out.
So talking them out is not the solution. But I am not a person who will give up easily.
Action speaks louder than words. I want to prove to them that Devil could not ensnare me. I want to prove to them that I can be happy even after I left. It seems like it is working!

Punk, thanks for that song, I heard it before at my relative place. Will go youtube later and listen to some other Beatles songs. "She was just 17, You know what I mean.."
Forgive me if I remain sceptical about this.
It's alright, Punk. I have left the org for nearly a year. I have met real people.
Real people who thinks. Real people who have their unique way of thinking that differs from mine. Not like those people inside who don't think and left their thinking to the fds.
But don't you agree that if we mess up our lives after we left, we are reinforcing what the wt says. But if we can show them that we can be happier and better after we left, the result will be different?
I wrote this because I came across some chaps who mess up their lives after leaving. I don't understand why the hack they left in the first place. Going from slavery to the wt to slavery to drugs!

I have been reading mind power books for quite some time. What we focus on expands. I remember I read of a man battling cancer and finally conquered it. He said that instead of viewing cancer as a big C and he himself as a small ‘i’ , in his mind he was a big ‘I’ and the cancer a small ‘c’. He has thus taken the power away from the cancer.
Over here, I find that we have given too much power to the watchtower. We are reinforcing the idea that we are victims of the watchtower. In this way, we are like saying we cannot do anything about it.
We all agree that the wt is a man-made organization. A man-made org is not formidable. It has its weak points and we can target its weak points.
Our own mind is the most effective weapon against the wt.
For example, being shunned by parents after leaving. What does the wt say about those who left?
They will be ensnared by the devil..they will not be happy… they will be miserable..
What will our parents think if we mess up our lives, turning to drugs and sex and even suicide?
If we are in such as state, won’t we be reinforcing our parents’ belief in the wt?
What if we do the opposite of what the wt say about us?
What if we can show our parents that we are happier after leaving? What if we continue to love and respect them? What if we refrain from doing things that they abhor in front of them? What if we can make them not wanting to shun us themselves?
If they have show you love and concern while you were in, then the only reason they shun you is because of the wt. If you can act in such a way that they personally do not want to shun you, they may begin their own research on shunning and may come to conclusion contrary to what the wt say.
I forgot where I read it. An elder brought her injured df’d daughter back home, keeping her in hiding and willing to accept consequences for his actions. Love can overpower wt doctrines.
My parents are still shunning me on the outside but deep inside, I know they still love and concern about me. The shunning part is improving. They even bought me new shirt and shoes. Last week my mom even tidied up my room while I was out.
Remember YOU are bigger than watchtower.
*I have changed my avatar. The old avatar has a stupid, stupid ‘waiting on jehovah’ look. The new avator is more awake and questioning…

Yes, its true. God can give us happiness in paradise!
by sinboi inhappiness, sorrow and anger are just our emotions.. god can easily give us happiness by taking away from us the emotions of sorrow and anger.. that will happen immediately after the big a.. when you see your loved ones killed at a, you will be happy.

Nope...me not interested! For me, I want to be sad when my dog dies. I want to be happy when you give me a million dollars. I want to be angry when someone offend me. In other words, I want to be a human being. You consider those in paradise humans? Human should be able to have the emotion of happiness, sorrow and anger.

Are you better off as a worldly person or a JW?
by Jules Saturn ini was having a conversation with a relative who has been inactive for several decades (part of the ‘75 generation) and he argued that a person that is a born in is better off staying in the organization rather than someone like him who lived as a “worldly” person but then became a witness later in life.
he argues that when you’re born in, all you know nothing outside of the organization, so you’re better off in than out, that’s why when born ins leave the org, they always come back.
i agree that as a born in, your social circle is composed of witnesses but i do feel that even born ins would be happier outside of the org than being in.

I don't agree that born-ins should go back.
I believe that humans can learn to adapt. For me, I was born under slavery in the wt for 16 years. Do you want me to go back into slavery for the rest of my life?
Some of you having good intentions, advise me to go back and left when I am older. Leaving when I am in my twenties??? Another 10 years in slavery?
The longer I stay inside, the harder it will be for me to adapt to the outside world.
10 years...If I remain outside, 10 years later, I believe I would have completely adapted to the outside world.
I know some of you may worry that I will mess up my life as I am still young. But I can tell you this: I am just out for less than a year. During this time, I have encountered many ups and downs. In fact, more downs than ups. But through every of these downs, I come to understand life more. Rather than staying inside the borg, only know to wait on Jehovah...
There is a tribulation ahead of me...I will turn 18 in December. Some of my friends have already receive the military enlistment registration order...I don't know how my jw parents will react when I am in the army....
But I also know one thing - after my completion of the compulsory military service in 2 years, everything will be fine or if not fine, at least it will be better.
My advice to those born-ins who have left : You may not be able to adapt to the outside world now. But know that it is just temporary.
You can learn to adapt... Just imagine yourself having to live in a new country knowing not a single soul. You can find new friends...Crawling back into the org is just not the answer. You still need to do it later and it will be harder.
Look ahead...that is what keeps me going...

he asked to be dressed in a toga
What is a toga? Why did he want to dressed in a toga?
Wearing a toga means he is a holy man? a prophet of god?
hahaha! I also read that he sold off 5 of his clothing stores while anticipating the end of harvest in 1878.
