My Job Interview Today
by Yizuman inwell, it went sorta shaky today i guess.
this is a temp service job interview and gives job placements for those who match interests between employer and employee.. i told the interviewer that i am deaf and can read lips, but problem was he wasn't making it easy for me.
his lips moved faster than the tansmania devil that i had to slow him down a good number of times.

Yes, Tink........"the last days" LOL
I have gotten many emails from "secret santas" saying that their gifts went out this week.....so hopefully they will reach peeps on time. Some have a long way to go (overseas) and may not make it on time......but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I have been trying to keep the list updated......and there are a few people that must be pretty busy because I haven't heard from them, but I am sure they haven't forgotten.
This was most definately fun and I hope that we can do something like it again next year!

Honest Opinion, Please
by Windchaser ini'm not very craftsy, but i have a thing about crocheting dishcloths.
it's a basket-weave design and i have mentioned in the past how it helps me to keep sane.
i have been suicidal lately and thought, why not send these dishcloths out to my friends and they will always have a little piece of me to be remembered by.

My grandmothers hands touched it, her work and effort created it, how could that not be special to me
Joanna that really moved me. That is how I feel about gifts that are hand made. I am a very sentimental person and just knowing that a gift was made by the hands of those that not only I love but love me is truely great!
Every year for Christmas my grandmother (I should say "our" cause I have to share her w/eyegirl) makes me dateswirl cookies. This is a tradition and I look forward to them every year. Just knowing that gramma is thinking of me and takes the time to make it for me warms my heart. It is the one gift that I look most forward to.

I LOVE homemade gifts! When I receive a gift like that from someone I immediately think about the sacrifice of time and love involved.
I give homemade gifts all the time......and I can tell you, when you receive a gift that is homemade from Scootergirl you can bet that LOTS of love went into it!
