  Taming of a Beast (Long post)

  taming of a beast.

  it was back in 1993, the last day of work before christmas.

  70 of us were laid off that day (after 6 months notice), and left at lunch, never to go back.

  Who didn't receive their Secret Santa gift yet?

  i know that there are some santas that did send out their gifts but haven't seen a post from those that received them yet.

  Turkey Broth, Anyone?

  ok, we've picked all the meat off the turkey.

  now, we've put the carcase into a huge pot of boiling water along with the chestnut stuffing, couple of onions and a few carrots.

  after an hour and a half, we'll strain it, toss in the bone jelly and the remaining meat, and serve huge bowls of turkey broth along with home made bread and stilton cheese.

  I usually boil the bones too for soup.........but toss the bone jelly OUT. I use to know this older man who would eat the marrow w/a spoon......
