now that i'm out of the borg and realizing that i've never dated, i think it's in the near future for me.
so i was thinking about my age of 30 and never being on a date.
but even worse, i was thinking of those of you who dated while in the borg and had to deal with an audience - actually i had to laugh when thinking about the absurdity of the scenario.

When my finance and I went to pick out rings.....YUP, you guessed it, we had a chaperone. She actually came right inside of the jewelers! You would have thought she could have stayed out of the store, but she followed us in like a little puppy dog. Who knows what we might have done of the glass countertops! LOL.......how pathetic!
last night gwen and i were watching mr bean movies.
i had noticed this before, and i thought i was kinda knuts and let it pass.

I own the VHS "Best of Bean"....I know what muffled singing you are talking about, but never paid that close attention to the words. Hmm...gonna have to watch it again this weekend.
The series are so much better than that stupid Mr. Bean movie....yuck!
do you think it's possible to fall in love with someone online?
assuming they give you a real picture of themselves and are honest about themselves.. is it possible to love this person before you meet them?
i'm not talking about the kind of love you share with your friends, i'm talking the real deal.
I do believe the love "blossoms" online BUT there is also the risk of dishonesty (thanks for your story imissthedub) and people need to be aware of that.
I "participated" in an online romance a few years back (before I met my husband). We met in a yahoo chatroom (YIKES) and talked on the phone for about 6 months. I flew to Montreal to visit him w/out blinking an eye. What a wonderful week we had. The only time did I ever think "what in the world am I doing" was while waiting for him in the airport and then I got a little nervous. We hit it off immediately. We continued our romance for about a year and I again flew to Montreal. It wasn't meant for us to be together forever.....but it sure was meant for us to be together for the time that we were. It was one of those romances that I will think fondly of and smile while in my rockingchair when I am old! Every woman needs one of those.........**sigh**

my kids went swimming for about 4 hours yesterday and my middle boy, james, found a leech in his belly button on the ride home.
he didn't think anything of it and pulled it off.

NEITHER DID I! That is why it just floored me! Growing up in Minnesota and swimming in tons of lakes, I got use to chiggers and leeches but never have I ever seen an infection by a leech.
Last summer, James (he must be a leech-magnet), stepped into a nest of leeches and had about two dozen crawling on his ankles. That was enough to send his mother over the edge.....

Dutchie, the doctor gave him a rx. of Cephalexin (antibiotics). He kept telling how I was very smart to bring James in IMMEDIATELY once we noticed the infection. He said, if we didn't, it could have been extremely bad and painful.
James is nervous to go swimming now......poor kid. Nuttin' like starting summer vacation off w/a bang!

My kids went swimming for about 4 hours yesterday and my middle boy, James, found a leech in his belly button on the ride home. He didn't think anything of it and pulled it off. Within hours an infection had set in. He woke up to a huge, raised, growing red ring around his belly button area this morning. When we went to the doctor he told us this was the fastest, most severe infection caused by a leech he has ever seen!

i cant help but smile when my wife laughs, or when my kids play outside.
i also smile when my boy, who is 15 wants to talk to me.
