There really is no issue with white nationalism. There is no rise up of any group or country. They have been there like the black panthers and the other radical groups. We do have a world wide Radical Islamic problem. There was a shooting by a Muslim in the Netherlands today that the media is doing a black out on or when they do report its not Radical Muslim its police looking for SHOOTER not Muslim Radical. Vox a far left pseudo news company says gunman. Nothing about radical Muslim. https://www.vox.com/2019/3/18/18270957/utrecht-shooting-netherlands-map

Climate Change - True Believer or Skeptic?
by Simon inclimate change ... who doesn't believe it?
crazy fools and science deniers ... right?.
it seems like it's become the new religion, the new orthodoxy, that must be accepted and believed as gospel and preached to all.. is it ok to be skeptical?.

First off it was global cooling. Then Global warming and they had to change that so they picked a can not lose Climate change. LMAO The climate is always changing. The question is, is change normal or not? If it is not normal compared to long term historical records then is it man made or some other factors? The Earth has been much hotter than now and much colder on avg then now. So can it be proven that CO2 is causing this 3 degrees in 100 years change? Science says that correlation is not causation. It is very difficult to prove that one thing is causing warming if indeed warming is actually happening.
The Medieval warming time line was much warming than today an no factory's and cars. The same people who say that people who question the science will gulp down the same without asking any questions. They go with the band wagon fallacy. 9 out of 10 doctors say Camel cigarettes are healthy.

Iceland is the only country that gets all its power from renewable sources. No other country. This does not mean because a country that has a population of 330 thousand and has geothermal sources and hydro that can do this that countries with major populations can. Wyoming which has the smallest population of all the states is almost double Iceland. You can not say because one person lives in a travel trailer and gets his light bulb lit by a solar panel that therefor you can do that to LA. That is not logical.

Disfellowshipping - abusing our evolutionary development
by Anony Mous ini just saw the video from kursgezagt on loneliness and it points out the biological reasons for social interaction, it also points out the reason we experience social pain in loneliness, basically, because in the recent past (a few hundred years ago) isolation meant you were very likely to die so our bodies and brains adapted to know when the circumstances of this dangerous situation emerged.. this immediately made me think about the disfellowshipping and social isolation that jw’s practice - it’s basically abusing our own evolutionary biology against ourselves and puts you in a cycle of loneliness, depression with the only ‘cure’ going back to the acceptance of the social group and accepting their ‘quirks’..

Its just a way to control people. Its not anything more or less. A tool used by cults to control their actions. If you can limit a persons exposure to anything critical of the cult you have increased the likelihood they will not question the cult. This means higher education or others who have shown to be critical of the cult.

Not a believer. I have see too much of the media if not lying having an agenda. Oil has given us the ability to live like no one has ever lived but the most wealthy in history. There is nothing that can take its place at the moment. The Media will cry about how we need to change at the same time flying all over the world in private jets and living like kings.

If there is a God/Creator, evolution/DNA followed the same pattern as computer technology
by Bad_Wolf inif there is a god, we have no idea of his power and if he created the universe or merely biological lifeforms on earth, etc.
but see a correlation with evolution and computer technology.
computer's began very basic, and as new coding is developed and new technologies created from the previous computers, the generation of computers, smartphones, technology, etc keeps evolving into more advanced life forms.

I don't see how you can compare the idea of a supreme being to Tech. There is no proof of a god. Any god. I can at the same time not prove there is not a supreme being. Its impossible to prove. But its also impossible to prove there is a god or SB. Unless this SB shows up and makes itself known than you can not prove it. You can come up with the same situation by saying that there are unicorns on Jupiter. You can not go to Jupiter and prove there are not but its very highly doubtful.

A Question for Born-ins Who Had a Parent Leave the Cult Before They Did
by jp1692 inquestion: have any of you that are now exjws had a parent leave the religion before you, and you shunned them because of that?
if so—and while you were still in the cult—what, if anything, could your parent have done to reach your heart and begin a reconciliation?
it’s been almost ten years since i left the religion and my two sons continue to shun me and rebuff all efforts i make to reconcile.

My dad left. Not totally out but he faded. He let mom take us kids and would go to memorial and a few meetings but stopped going out in service and giving talks and doing anything but to hit a few meetings and take mom to the assemblies.
