Did The Australian Royal Commission Actually Achieve Anything?
by NotFormer ini've been going through past threads on here during the period i was not very interested in what was going on in jw world.
the australian royal commission era caused a great deal of excitement and inspired some hope, but did any good come of it?.
the 2 witness rule in child sexual assault cases still exists, and elders still don't call the police and try to handle things in house.

Totally agree with Vidiot! Tax exemption is WTC's achilles heel. If they lose it, they will wither faster than a hollywood teen idol. -

Blue Brother asked what are the consequences?
None. At least at present. However, behind the scenes, WTC is wearing out it's good will with the governments. It now appears that they are getting less leniency with violations.
In civil matters before the courts, they are getting the stuffing kicked out of them.

Reading the timeline of how WTC obfuscated in Wales and England over child protection guidlines reinforces to me that they JUST DON'T CARE about the rights of children. It was clear that they do not acknowledge that children actually have any rights at all.
They delay and delay in an effort to run out the clock.

How did the Minnonites fare through Covid? Other isolation groups exist as well so how did they fare?
I am not saying Dr. Kirsch is wrong, but I struggle with comparing isolationists with the general population when it comes to infection rates for anything.

Secret Elders Book? Bwahahaha!
by NotFormer ini remember a couple of decades ago when the internet was relatively young and the wt was at war with it, that they were battling to keep the pay attention book secret, commencing legal action against anyone who published it online (and of course, trying to out anyone who leaked it).
i think it was a norwegian skeptics organisation who had it available for download and dared the wt lawyers to come after them.. so i guess the new shepherd the flock book came out to try and put the genie back in the bottle and reassert some air of mystery and secrecy back into the equation.. so i typed jehovah's witnesses secret elder book into google.
colour me gobsmacked!

The book has always been about how to deal with transgression. I recall my father's copy before it was re-written, was also about how to punish transgressors. It has never been about Shepherding and never will be.

Can the org's finances be viewed?
by BoogerMan indoes anyone know where to view the wtbts of new york and pennsylvania's financial records?.
i mean, they are registered charities aren't they, so surely their income/expenditures must be open to scrutiny?.

Thanks Barbara!!
i recall that it was lower than the spectacular estimates floated by many. If they used KHs as collateral for loans, it may be much now.

Armageddon is just beginning
by TheEndIsNear indo you want to know what is really behind the fake coronavirus pandemic, so-called vaccines and the war in ukraine?
to understand current events, you must first learn the history.
the world's biggest secret is that there have been tremendous global disasters in the past that decimated populations and caused the collapse of empires.

GT - that sounds like a case of prophetic diarrhea. Please chronicle it carefully. Who knows - you may be at the epicenter of the expulsion of all that is bad.

Jeffrey Jackson: Too much excitement got in the way for the ''false dates''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inannual meeting 2019—talks and 2020 year textthe governing body members are nothing but a bunch of weasels.
here is a talk by jeffrey jackson on how the governing body ''the slave class'' has remained spiritually awake over 100 years and alerted its members.. he looks back on the ''faithful and discreet slaves'' false dates over the 100 years: '' but at times, we look back over 100 years, and there were times they got excited about a certain year or time, and the end didn't come at that time.''.
he makes the comparison between the ''slave class ( who disappointed others when the end didn't come ) to a barking watchdog ( who in his enthusiasm barks at nothing in the middle of the night and wakes up the owner).

The dates they pulled out of the air are their reason for existing!!
WTC is a charlatan - they can spin it all they want but it won’t change what they are.

Obfuscate and run the clock out. They have gone through generations of bureaucratis so it is working for them.

An attorney who successfully negotiated many settlements against them said that in discovery, they could bankrupt in less than 3 years. That was a year ago.
They had all KHs appraised a couple of years ago. Why? To sell them or use as collateral. Collateral sounds more like the answer since an appraisal on property is only good for a short time.
They have lots of corporations, but many are used for doing things without exposing them to public scrutiny. A former CO who identified himself as having been in Legal, was recorded saying WT was still in the UN as an NGO. An innocuous corporation would be helpful to keep that from getting out, and they have many.
if the govt cracked down on the practice of bogus corporations, it would stop a lot of nefarious activity.
