An organization that is corrupt from the start cannot be reformed. Any application to Bible prophecy relating to WTC getting discipline to help them course correct ignores the obvious truth that they have never had his favor.

I called those “time machine tricks”.
One day it dawned on me that some pio’s were fabricating precious hrs in the ministry. I stopped - It all seemed so pointless as I realized they were unproductive in their “ministries”.
Somehow they managed their personal self esteem in being called pioneers. In reality, they were sad people and impressed no one. All were uneducated, shallow, and pitiable. It still makes me sad thinking about it.

Ciro just passed away a week ago. He was 93 years old.
He used to travel over to the UN weekly during the years that WTC was an NGO. His driver would drop him off and pick him back up when he was ready. Some say that the UN idea was his but I don’t know. He was an out of the box thinker and fully supported by the administration.
I still marvel that some JWs deny their involvement - even after the UN posted confirmation as an NGO. The dishonesty among apologists is astounding.

I recall a brutha telling the service group that in the new system, we would wear no clothes. One counsel sandwich later, he stopped spooking the sisters with that visual - yeah he was nothing special to look at believe me.

if it was next week, next year, next decade, next century?
what is to be gained by knowing how close or far it is?
Sue, the whole point of convincing publishers that the end is about to come is to control behavior. Jesus prophesied that the end of the system would come but he NEVER used that teaching to leverage his followers for his own enrichment as Watchtower Corporation has done. There was no shunning for planning or pressure to give.
You clearly are in for the social benefits, whether you admit that or not.
Teachings matter. Watchtower is a bad player in the religion arena.
