The benefits are that you are part of a group of people that you can rely on (as long as they don’t know that you are PIMO)

if anything bad happens you have a support network

if you need help JWs will be there for you

even moving house or anything we find loads of help sisters cleaning and brothers moving boxes then meals delivered

as long as they think you still believe 🤣

Can you list the positive points of being a JW as against the negative points of being a JW in your experience ?

i was a twenty y/old when i converted to the jw religion and was a problem drinker and i was a chain smoker .when i was baptized at a circuit assembly a year later , my conversion and change in lifestyle was given as an example of the effectiveness of incidental witnessing to the audience.. so i can point to the 2 positives becoming a jw .. 1.i gave up smoking.

2.i gave up drinking for a while ,but because i still had association with my wife`s and my family who were not jw`s ,i learnt to control my social drinking when i started again.. and i have been a responsible drinker ever since ,even though i left the religion 29 years ago.. the negative points of being a jw in my 32 years of being one ?

are far too great to list here .. love to hear your thoughts..

How far do we get away from 1914

how far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.

they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .

with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.

It’s either right or it isn’t. You can’t be just a bit true.

You are prepared to submit your life and the lives of your loved ones to something that isn’t the truth. It doesn’t make sense.

if you want happy, convivial friendships, join a club; at least they don’t pretend

I know the governing body were wrong about the vaccines and lots of things

im a bit agnostic about the Bible and God. I don’t claim it to be the truth but there might be bits of truth there, and as I said before I like the good things about being in the org

im not going to be disappointed when I get old and Armageddon stil hasn’t come yet🤣

know you don’t like the fact that there are many of us PIMO members of congregations who like all the good things about being physically in the org.

there are some great people and really good associations for my kids. We are all like a big family.

I think the governing body is just as wrong to push the vaccines on all members as they were to say millions now living will never die. They do make mistakes and maybe much about JWs current teaching will prove to be wrong.

but I still feel it’s the closest to the truth than any other.

Its more beneficial for me to stay PIMO than to leave the cong. I have all the advantages of being in the cong, without the disadvantages of being disappointed in years to come when Armageddon still doesn’t come 🤣

My story

hi everyone i’m a pimo elder ex bethelite and pioneer who has been having doubts for many years.

as of late i’ve come to have even more doubts mainly due to the gb pushing the vaccines and acting like salesman for big pharma companies .

i will never take these vaccines even if it meant i couldn’t go to the hall as was previously said but the gb have done a big u turn on this now.
