The campaign has started. I remember one year they decided not to knock on the doors in our congregation because there were too many houses to get them all delivered on time. We were told to do a letter box run.

Memorial Invitations....................
by The Fall Guy in.........are due out soon, so here's a question which could be asked of the jw offering the invite:.
"can you show me any scriptures which says that spectators were to be invited to a ritual which is exclusively for future king/priests in heaven?
" (allegedly).

But it's alright if we do it.
by Lost in the fog inwe were talking with a friend who is in a different area and they mentioned that their present kingdom hall building used to be a church before the brothers bought it cheaply and renovated it.
"of course," john then said, "it'll be dedicated to jehovah after all the work is done so even if everyone in the community still call it the old church, we'll know it is jehovah’s place of worship.
hadn't consciously thought about it until now, but isn't it hypocrisy to (re)dedicate a church and it becomes ok for the witnesses to use.

Hmm. I thought churches were the residences of demons. I guess they will take off when they hear the name Jehovah. All good. Hahahaha.

i work from home.
between the time i drop the kids at school and pick them up, i was here.

Do you think it may be because they now say the memorial and taking of emblems is only for the anointed? This therefore means that the rest in attendance are just respectful observers. So the invitation to commemorate the death does not give the impression they are to be actively involved?

Crooked Teeth
by Introvert 2 inwell 55 yo this summer times flies.. was in my late thirties when i started thinking about getting braces or some other treatment for my crowded teeth.
decided to put it off a few years later as 'the new system' ™ was right around the corner.
then went through a huge burn out depression and my teeth became a lesser priority.

Dentures will also effect your tastes. If your issues can be fixed by braces, do that.
I am in my late 40s and I have braces. I can't wait to smile without embarrassment!

March 2018 Broadcast - When quotes become rumors
by Listener inthis months broadcast is presented by losche and he discusses the need for trust in the fds.
the following is transcribed from the 12.30 mark.. satan also has the scheme to spread rumors about our brothers including the faithful slave.
the method of spreading rumors is not new.

A bit rich telling the rank and file not to take quotes out of context too. The GB are the Masters at doing just that.

Hahahaha! Wondered when they would come up with something to address his performance in court.
For those of us who watched the videos and read the transcripts, the "out of context" cover up won't fly. There will be millions who have no clue to what they are referring and will not bother looking into it. The GB wouldn't lie to us now would they?

Funny News From My Old Congragation - Elder Fight!
by pale.emperor ini haven't stopped laughing since i heard this.
a pimo in my last congregation told me that an elder has been removed from his elder position.
apparently he grabbed another elder by the throat, put him up against a wall in the back room and punched him in on the nose... during an elders meeting on thursday evening after the meeting.. the congregation were running round like headless chickens wondering what to do?

So much humility and love in those elders meetings.
A friend of mine years ago said he hated going to the elders meetings because of the fights and disagreements.
Don't let the opinion of one forum member stop you from posting Pale. We love reading your experiences and thoughts.

My mother is an average rank and file member and she has no problem with the money going on law suits because apparently "it says that is what Jehovah wants".
The mind boggles.

So there are a few issues here.
He grew up a witness which means in maturity he will be way behind other men of his own age - proof is the hour long crying show.
His family obviously want him to get baptized and he is under pressure to do what he is told.
He wants you in his life but that will only be allowed if you become a JW.
The fact that he had sex with you is a big problem which is only tolerated by his mother due to the fact that he cannot be excommunicated at this point because he is not baptized.
You will forever be a reminder of his error and trigger of guilt for him and therefore this relationship cannot last.
You DO NOT want to be a JW.
Your only course of action is to end it unless you love him enough to give up your entire way of life and become a good house wife, a yes woman, in subjection to this immature man as your head, giving up your own family and friends and never again make a decision without asking what "the organization" has to say on the matter.
I've said it before, I say it again - run away, change your number and be happy, single and free.

Nothing would happen. They would not tell. No one would ever know and they could continue living in the way to which they have become accustomed.
