Growing a beard

i've always been currious as to how i would look with a beard so i've finally committed to doing it.

over the next 30 days i'm going to grow out a full chin to ear beard.. .

ps: any suggestions or advice on how to grow a beard would be much appreciated!.

Get a decent beard grooming kit to keep it tidy. I got my husband one. He loves it.

People will give their opinions and sometimes they should just keep them to themselves.

Who is going to make the earth a paradise?

when i was a jw elder and dreamed of living in paradise, i pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about god.

the only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury.

then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools?

My mother's response would be "you are thinking like a human. With Jehovah all things are possible. Do not worry about it. Worry about getting there."

i've followed the rules and i'm even a pioneer.

but i've hid the secret of a boyfriend i had from india.

Why would your parents tell the elders? In the first instance as your parents, they are the ones who should be talking to you and giving you guidance. They are parents!

On what basis would you be disfellowshiped? So your parents saw some messages. Delete them. Tell them you had a moment of weakness and be more careful in future.

Since you say your boyfriend is in India, I assume you are not. It would be a stretch to disfellowship you on immorality grounds in that case.

Take a deep breath and play it smart. You now know who you can and cannot trust.

My mother's stand is that she needs to "protect her own spirituality" from negative influence and therefore will not associate with unspiritual people. So not just the DFd but also the weak and DAd.

She says that no matter about anything else - child abuse scandal, money grabbing - she wants to see her parents and my dad again and she will let nothing stand in her way. Apparently even TRUTH!

Memorial Invitations....................

"can you show me any scriptures which says that spectators were to be invited to a ritual which is exclusively for future king/priests in heaven?

The campaign has started. I remember one year they decided not to knock on the doors in our congregation because there were too many houses to get them all delivered on time. We were told to do a letter box run.

we were talking with a friend who is in a different area and they mentioned that their present kingdom hall building used to be a church before the brothers bought it cheaply and renovated it.

"of course," john then said, "it'll be dedicated to jehovah after all the work is done so even if everyone in the community still call it the old church, we'll know it is jehovah’s place of worship.

hadn't consciously thought about it until now, but isn't it hypocrisy to (re)dedicate a church and it becomes ok for the witnesses to use.

Hmm. I thought churches were the residences of demons. I guess they will take off when they hear the name Jehovah. All good. Hahahaha.

Memorial Invite - new focus?

i got the latest memorial invite on my door sometime today.

i work from home.

between the time i drop the kids at school and pick them up, i was here.

Do you think it may be because they now say the memorial and taking of emblems is only for the anointed? This therefore means that the rest in attendance are just respectful observers. So the invitation to commemorate the death does not give the impression they are to be actively involved?

Crooked Teeth

well 55 yo this summer times flies.. was in my late thirties when i started thinking about getting braces or some other treatment for my crowded teeth.

decided to put it off a few years later as 'the new system' ™ was right around the corner.

then went through a huge burn out depression and my teeth became a lesser priority.

Dentures will also effect your tastes. If your issues can be fixed by braces, do that.

I am in my late 40s and I have braces. I can't wait to smile without embarrassment!
