As the WT would have you believe, "We don't hold to the traditions of men, look at us, we change doctrine, etc". But they are hypocrites, they created their own stuff and hold on to them. Look down on beards because it was their 'tradition'.

At what point would you lose your consciousness and reality?? (really being explored on TV shows now)

Parts of our brain can be cut or damaged, but we are still us. Our bodies can be replaced with artificial limbs but we are still us. Our consciousness is still not fully understood by scientists.
I wonder what parts of our brain need to be preserved or could be replaced for our current state of awareness to remain vs something that looks and acts like you.
For example if a clone of you was made right now, or any digital copy, your mind is still in your current vessel. You would look at a clone of you like a twin looking at the other. Twins don't live and experience both realities, only their own. The other only looks like them. A digital copy of your mind would be like looking at a computer program, your mind will not be in your body and inside the computer at the same time.
If our consciousness is solely tied to the organic brain matter of our brain, then no matter what it will always be 'lights off' at some point? Or is our brain matter just a vessel to operate the body we are in, and it could possibly be transferred? Can this current brain live infinitely if there was an ability to transplant into younger bodies?
Curious where science will really take us in regards to our life. So far all movies and shows seem to me to be only copies, and the original person is truly dead, just a copy of them floating around. -

when john haugh appeared in court tuesday morning for a pre-trial conference, his attorney and the prosecutor had a discussion with judge maria musti cook out of earshot of the gallery in courtroom 7006. when court resumed, the prosecutor moved to dismiss the charges.

It probably is an ex jw and prob why not caught yet, just like they try to protect pedos, so it doesn't cast a bad light on the org. They don't want people to question or get headlighted on the 'loving arrangement' of the shunning for life policy. I found it interesting the Sheriff in interviews has absolutely no idea why anybody would do anything, and how he said since it's so random it will be so hard to find out. I'm guessing the elders and CO's in that area have not even hinted that anybody might be upset with the hundreds of thousands whose families shun them, etc, on instructions of the elders if they leave the borg.

I found Venezuelas money problem interesting. 1 USD equaled about 12 of theirs, then within 2 years 1 USD equaled over 200,000 of theirs.
Prior to their hyperinflation, with the money in their supply, it went up to much and so fast, that people needed a backpack of cash, which would be worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to get just eggs, etc.How did all those extra 'bills' appear out of nowhere. Even with hyperinflation, unless just printing nonstop the past couple years, just physically all of that money around should have been impossible.

they will obviously dole the money out in a totally impartial manner, even handing funding to reporters that are critical of them and trudeau.
"trustworthy" news sources won't just be a euphemism for "writes positive stories about me, avoids negative ones".
