  "It will come in a time, that you will not think it will come" or words to that effect.

  wt writers thought that it would be "appropriate" to come in 1975. and published that. so,

  at least three build cheap "will last to 75" houses, cash in hand, on the upward trend ever since.

  you need to be marked a false prophet only once.

  for those of you not up to speed on the latest jw trends, one of the key scriptures the jws are using in field serve-us lately is job 26:7, wherein the writer describes the earth as “hanging upon nothing”.. this text is used to indicate the bible’s “reliability”.

  the reasoning goes something like this:.

  “see, centuries ago, people thought the world was flat, or was resting on elephants or turtles, or some such nonsense.

  The 1975 paradise dogma was published by wt writers , studied in ~1969, 6 years to Armageddon.

  we figured that would be longer than the 15 minute warning that would precede a nuclear missile strike, reminding the deity of the Rev 11:18 promise.

  Since it would be cheaper than renting, therefore build a house in our former foreign language assignment, and were joined by 2 others, a wealthy contractor, who handed the company over to management , and an IBM technician who was put on remote work by the company. In their case hundreds of miles into an end of the road 'assignment". wt must have been involved in that choice of location, not on your Michelin guide.

  A great start into the real estate market. Some of the locals were not so lucky, those that sold their houses, never recovered, never lived down the reputation of being false prophets.

  The discussions in the book of Job seems to be a free for all about the meaning of life, the role of the deity[s].

  Perhaps they speculated, that the firmament, was not not firm at all, these lights above free floating entities, with no visible support.

  for the Earth, pillars pushing up. hangers pulling up, up into the void, against gravity, done by centrifugal force, the energy of movement.

  a lucky guess in the lottery of 10 thousands of wrong verses.

  Does anybody ever wonder why ?

  supposedly, god jehovah, el , or whatever else he may have been called many thousands of years ago, or so the storys goes ,dealt with humans on a regular basis communicating with them for either good or bad.according to how they pleased him or displeased him.. so the bible record says.. how is it that god , jehovah or whatever other name you want to call him has not communicated with humans on any level for the past 2000 years ???.

  in this scientific ,technological age ,wouldn`t you think this would be the time he would communicate with the potential dangers we face in potentially destroying ourselves and ruining the planets wildlife unless he interveined ?.

  that`s if you even beleive that such a god actually exists .. and if he does why so silent in this day and age,?.

  "he" does not authorize funny stories to be written any more, because we can measure. take noah's flood. 40 days of rain,@ ~ 900 hours in 40 days. everest ~ 9000 meters, rain, ~10 meters an hour, wow, 3 storeys.each hour.

  The vocals are easy after that. to write about.

  but, shut up and put up.. eli and hannah, eli's sons committed gross sins, raping/ seducing woman visitors to the temple, for years, yet naive worshippers are to trust their brothers, even with their children ?

  hannah wanted to get pregnant, so she went to the temple where Eli and his sons were at service. Not surprisingly, her wish was granted.

  as was pointed out to me, Hanna did eventually have a natural son with her husband, who was not selectively infertile. I did not want to besmirch the bible character "Hanna" with her story similar to "Sarah's"

  Are the wt writers suggesting, that the friends are to send their wives and daughters, sons into service, projects, the "Houses of God" knowing that, following the "things written beforehand " criminals* are lurking there?

  * anybody disfellowshipped, put on "probation", reproof, is convicted of a crime, an offence against "divine" law.

  The family has actually experienced these sexual crimes happen from/among the wt "appointed servants".

  But, getting back to the here and now, what I mentioned is what’s happening in the damn religion in RECENT times.

  Long Hair Girl, In my active 65 years I have never seen a congregation that you describe, where the needy are looking for handouts. or the congr. offer it. Here, In recent times, the local wealthy benefactors have taken care of the decommissioned District- and retired Circuit Overseers that had to re-locate,

  Local financial predators, including wtb&ts. inc, mainly target the naive and old retirees, selling them resurrection certainty.

  Article 37 dealt with the ancient examples of abuse by the elite and the good putting up with it. and as I said twice: The family has actually experienced these sexual crimes happen from/among the wt "appointed servants".

  wt wants that to happen without demurring in your here and now and their future (if any).

  Fnm LHG, your fascination with currencies is understood, but . Note that

  the hidden bad apples in the wt article were far more dangerous, David destroying families, killing thousands with his policies,

  The Levite Eli, sheltering rapist and seducers that prayed on the worshippers coming to the temple. No amount of money could repair those sins, that should have ben nipped in the bud, terminated, by executing the culprits asap.

  Wt holding them up as heroes. presiding in right manner. Blaming the deity by allowing it, in tacit approval.
