The new light from last week's wt is that they were not taken into captivity in "babylon" but by the superior, secular authorities. Tying it to the preaching work is just to scare the present day jws to "not give up"
my wife and i were talking about how religions claim to be directed by god, yet god never seemed to let any of them know about the danger of sexual predatora to children.

The bible should not be compared to other "holy" books for veracity, but established current science, how that work out? Genesis 1:! "In the beginning God created-- the Earth" ---not. failure right there.
we all 'exit' in our own way and at our own pace but i'm curious, why carry on stuffing yourself into that stiff suit and tie or meeting dress years after you realised the truth about 'the truth'?.

99 years from now, there will be knee-slapping at the thought that only one overlap would be enough to get the anointed near to the end, which is the doctrine now.

Their whole claim to authority is based on them being the appointed Faithful & Discreet Slave, existing only during the time of the end. They strip away all that really happened and reshape it to bolster that claim.
It is certainly not by the accomplishments of wt that such a claim could be made or maintained.
WT's claim was always to be right, everybody else wrong. Was that not the message in our time? so, they are laying a new, crack - repaired foundation, crack-pot nevertheless.
