  One year after Mom's death

  i've been away from the db for awhile but after checking in this morning and reading through the topics started by mulan about the anniversary of mom's death i decided to go ahead and post what i wrote the day following the 6th.

  but i will never understand how someone who knew my mother could ever stand with those who called her wicked.

  yet, it is, for me, the appropriate thing to do.

  i follow the threads on legal questions with interest because somewhere inside me is this voice yelling at me to get back at those bastards that lied to me and my family and all the other good people i have come to know here and abroad.

  i too carry a lot of anger with me from my experience as a witness.

  however, another poster raised the question "what is your ultimate goal?

  Animation graphics in the text field

  i know some of you are not going to appreciate this and it probably won't start a movement that will affect a change but it will make me feel better to rant.. i find it very distracting to have moving graphics in the field of text, where we are supposed to be reading.

  perhaps many of you are used to listening to the radio while studying for a test, as i have often seen depicted on tv, presumably in humor.

  it may be humorous but it is not conducive to actual retention and meaningful meditation.

  To laugh or cry, that is the question.

  i just finished reading some very interesting stuff from the fingers of clash and non.

  i got up to get some lunch and just broke out in uncontrolled laughter!

  but then i thought about how dangerous these people can be and wondered if it was all that funny.. i know that most christians are not a crazy as these two, but the christian community does have to accept some of the blame for this type of thinking.

  Priestly authority and pedohilia connected?

  is there a correlation between priestly authority and pedohile cover up?.

  i have stated that i think there is a direct correlation between the power and authority of priests or elders and the silence of victims of pedohilia and the lack of prosecution of these sexual predators.

  i held that it was as common among catholics to believe that their priesthood is "holy" and the spokeman for god as it is among jw's to believe that their elders and the governing body are appointed by holy spirit and direct representatives of god.

  Attention on Catholic Pedohile cases help?

  has anyone been following the cases in the news alleging pedophile crimes against catholic priests in new england?.

  it seems to me we may be able to get some more attention to the policies of the watchtower on this issue and help influence a review of the laws pertaining to ecclesiastical priviledge and criminal offenses.

  this issue is not limited to catholic priests in new england.

  A poem in memory of my mom.

  i've never really attempted poetry and don't really understand it completely.

  but i do like it and i was inspired to make this post after reading ashitaka's fine poem in eulogy of his grandfather.

  i've been asked by a few who were present at my mother's funeral and wake to go ahead and post a part of my eulogy here.

  i just figured out today how to bypass the login sequences every time i reply to a thread.

  but i am still miffed that i cannot follow the threads i have posted in without hunting through all the topics, some of which i may have no interest in.

  is there a way on this board to track my own posts?
