Thank you for posting the video. I just sent it to my mother. I've been DF'ed for nearly a year but she's come to the conclusion God would never forbid a mother from speaking to her only son for any reason and slowly realizing this may not be "the Truth". As mentioned before, the dominoes are definitely falling.

TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".
by Dunedain inok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

I wonder if I could go with a T-shirt that has the full image of Gerrit Losch's court statement pressed onto it. And tight pants. And a Rolex.
Well, the instructions given the groups are to dress "smart casual" so I think you're solid. Might even get lucky and bump into Mrs. Lösch while you're at it. She takes her friends on these tours occasionally...

Copy of Crisis of Conscience for Sale
by Village Idiot ini’ve run into hard financial times and have decided to sell my second copy of coc for a fair price.
you’ll find them on amazon for ridiculous prices starting from $59.84 for a beat up used one to $294.96 and up for a new condition copy.
i’m selling mine in new condition for $50.00 plus shipping which should not be more than $5.

I'm confused as to what schedule you or the other poster I quoted are referring to. Is this a schedule at Bethel, or at the MET?
From what I understood of the post you quoted, I believe he was referring to the itinerary options the Branch put together for delegates attending the International Conventions in NJ. You could select up to three things, including tours of: Brooklyn Bethel, Patterson and Wallkill Bethel, the Stanley Theatre, the Bronx Zoo (no idea why), and a Biblical sightseeing tour of NYC. Tours at the MET were not on the Branch program for delegates as an option. I'd say most delegates did tag along on a tour once they found out about them.
I'm glad to hear that about the magazines, because that seemed suspect.
I know it's minutia but I'm big on facts. Minutia can make or break one's credibility. :)
P.S. The Branch does arrange for each incoming Gilead class to attend the tour as a "fun" activity, in lieu of the field trip to the U.N they used to go on. Most, if not all, of the GB members have been in attendance at these tours.

Here's a fun quote from the Exjw Reddit thread about this:
I've actually taken the "Woman and Her Offspring" tour that this group offers. I have to say that the pioneers that give the tours have a sweet gig. While they don't charge for their time (the fee is just the entrance fee to the MET), they encourage tipping. Our group was about 20 or so people and each tipped him $20+ from what I could see. So not only do they get to count their time (many non-JWs would follow us and sometimes he would engage them and place mags), but they also get paid. While it may not be put together by the org, the tours were on the schedule for all those that were coming in for the international conventions last year. In one day several hundred, if not thousands, of JWs were touring the MET on one of these tours
Without disclosing too much for now, I can say the comments in the thread are only partly true. Depending on the tour program you sign up with, the fee doesn't JUST cover the entrance fee; there is a nominal overhead fee included into one of the program's tour price. I adamantly refute that everyone gives $20. First of all, not every single person tips; often they tip as a family or group, sometimes not at all (such is the nature of tips). Additionally, while counting time is left up to the discretion of the guide, placing magazines is not something that would be allowed by either the museum or at least the Oasis program. Tips are definitely encouraged in email confirmations to the groups and, in the cases of current or former-Bethelites or desperate, shameless guides, an announcement to that effect will be made to the group. While uncouth, it's not unlike what any other city or sightseeing guides do, most of whom are also pulling the commentary out of their ass. The tours were not on schedule for all those coming to the States as international delegates. However, upon hearing of the tours, most delegates made an effort to be included. Oasis is the largest independent tour operator at the MET, followed by the equally spurious and superficial Museum Hack program.

Only 7? And the last one is Anglo-America?
What is the target audience for this 7 World Powers Tour if not JWs? Who else would ever go?
Yes. They are "the disgusting thing in a holy place" (The Metropolitan Museum of Art) that Jesus spoke about. They are the JV Dub program. The Major League program is run by Oasis Biblical Tours. Some guides have found this to be a convenient source of extra or, in some cases, primary income. God loves a cheerful giver!

Tipping:
In the spirit of love and appreciation we recommend you set aside a tip for your guide’s time, effort and travel. For example, a group of six people may set aside $60 or more to offset expenses. All guides are unpaid volunteers.
This is after a very overt (by JW standards) campaign against a competing program, whom they claimed was profiting from the tours. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

I remember how divisive my first MW comment was at the three facilities, simply because I gestured and put some feeling into what I was saying. It was by no means theatrical or operatic like this narcissist's audition. Jose Cintrón is his name, and allegedly he is the founder of the 7 World Powers Tour in NYC. I can personally attest to the fact that the guy is a bigger douche in person, at least if you don't have anything to offer him (i.e. to new boys like me, at the time). He was one of those nobodys with an office job who fancied himself a "heavy". I guess all the pretending has finally paid off. Glad to see the brotherhood is in the capable, caring hands of such shepherds.
P.S. I find it pretty pathetic that he conveyed greetings from the GB and the Bethel Family in a symposium part. I wonder if he did that on his own. I'm sure he's a Bethel Speaker by now, but what an anticlimactic greeting...

Sadly the false promises continue generation after generation.
Maybe that's what Jesus meant by "this generation will by no means pass away"...

by Alostpuppydog inso i know one should remove his own stick from his own eye before ones self judges another, but i noticed something.
it seems that the wealthy witnesses are the elders, the circuit overseers, the governing body... are they really different from any other 'worldly' religions or even organizations?

When I was at the Big House, a recently-deceased GB member had a fairly new Mercedes moved to Wallkill to make space for a brand new model of the car to be parked in the 25 CH garage (before he passed of course). Another GB member had a brand new Cadillac CTS. All, presumably, were "gifts".
