  It's curious, when in a courtroom (as opposed to social media), The Trump Legal Team Led By Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis (TM) keep repeating over an over that there was no fraud.

  It's almost as if....

  ...now follow me here....

  ...almost as if even the most jaded attorneys are not prepared to be disbarred by knowingly lying in court.

  And almost as if all these claims of "systemic fraud" are one last, final, fundraising grift foisted upon the gullible.

  Hopefully the Georgia runoff elections will stop the Democrat takeover.

  LOL.

  It's hard for even the most....challenged....Republicans to balance simultaneously in their minds "the election was entirely rigged, your vote was utterly meaningless" along with "It is of the highest and most crucial importance for you to go out and vote in the GA runoff election next month."

  I assume this is rhetorical.

  The WT Org does NOT retract and does NOT apologize for ANYTHING - EVER.

  Frankly, well over 98% of Bethelites lack the brain power to even understand the significance of the discovery. What almost certainly happened is that some Bethel "writer" in 2008 copy-n-pasted the information from some creationist website, having only a vague notion of what it meant beyond "God of the gaps must have done this". But it sounds convincing to the ignorant, so in it goes.
  

  "Stay silent" is the obvious correct answer for what they will do now.

  Meetings

  so remember how assembling together is a command and no man or government can stop us, even if it means going 'underground', even if means being arrested, jailed, beat....can't stop us from assembling together----until covid.

  now it's "false regligion" fighting for their constitutional right to meet together while the jws seem to be perefectly happy zooming their lives away..

  They are still meeting openly, just via video. You still get guilt-tripped for missing meetings.

  In fact, it's even easier to check up and see who is missing now. Just scroll down the list of attendees and see which names are missing.

  On the other hand, it is easier than ever to "check out" mentally. Just sign onto the zoom meeting with your name displayed, turn the camera off, and go off to play video games until the meeting ends. Elders see your name and assume you are listening.

  Regarding the songbook change, a lot of times they change the artwork when one of the "real life" people who served as a model gets disfellowshipped.

  JWs are so thorough in their DFing, even drawings and photographs of the JW get disfellowshipped!

  Was 2019 the last convention ever?

  in a recent feel-good instagram post about the 2019 international convention, a jw remarked, "was it the last convention we will have?".

  there is no doubt jw's feel they are truly special and that world events revolve around them directly.

  there is also no doubt that whether we get a vaccine for covid or not, and at the moment, its looking very certain that we will, that the world will continue to spin and life will go on, regardless of the beliefs of the jw's.. once the pandemic is over i'm wondering if some jw's will realise that even though they lived through a notable period of time, life kept sailing on, and maybe they aren't that special after all?

  That's true regarding the big international events - they've discovered that even the poorest JWs are willing to pony up thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars to get treated like "rock stars" for 7-14 days.

  I know several who have drained virtually their entire life savings to go to one of these things. Then when they get back home, and the buzz wears off after 3-4 days, they immediately start trying to figure out how they can do it again.

  I suspect that in the future, nearly all regional conventions will be very low-key, likely held in assembly halls wherever possible, and the glitzy no-holds-barred international conventions will be held every year up to their saturation point (when they run out of JWs willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to be treated like a rock star for 7-14 days).
