Did U hurt someone because of JW rules?
by LyinEyes ini know we all make mistakes but did you ever really hurt someone while you were a jw, because of sticking to their darn rules?
did you ever, even as it was happening, feel selfrighteous?.
it is something that i have been thru over and over in my head and i have forgiven myself for it, but i can never make it right with the person i hurt.. my dad was an elder , very self righteous, he taught me well, i did what ever he said and acted the way he told me too.

Gasoline Price in your area
by JH inyesterday alone the price of gasoline went up 9 cents a liter here in eastern canada passing from 68 to 77 cents a liter.
a one day jump of 9 cents a liter is equal to about 40 cents a gallon.
so now we pay 77 cents a liter or 3.50$ a canadian gallon.

Here in England Gasoline is 0.80 per Litre (ave price in midlands). Todays exchange 1.00 = $1.65 American. I will let you do the math.

Opinions/Advice needed

i just quit going, and was never baptized.
(that will become relevant later).

Personaly, I would phone her and say something like........"sorry for losing contact, I was giving you time to settle into married lif, how have you been ?"
Then see what reaction you get. At least you will know for sure then.

Baptism Age
by JH indo you feel as if children in the watchtower organization get baptized too early in age?
when you think that in most places, you have to be at least 18 years old to vote, go in a bar, or have a drivers licence.
being told that it was the most important day of our life, wouldn't it be reasonable to wait to be at least 18 years old before getting baptized.

I really can't understand how they could have baptized women back then on account that they didn't have swim suits and women would have had to have been naked in the site of a male who was not their husband.
They wore a Robe, like a heavy night-shirt.
