she sure has gone down in my estimation as an actress and /or role model for young women if that what she was ever about in the first place .. how gross is that ?

I don't buy the OPs Pollyanna attitude. Its not a matter of if but when the next Spanish influenza that is deadly comes again. With the mobility of society it could mean many millions dead. This virus is contagious before it shows signs of one being infected. If this is not one that gets out of control, eventually one will pop up that will be.

Not invited to congregation “get togethers”. They finally said it

we don’t get many invitations to congregational social gatherings.

we don’t attend midweek meetings and miss about 1/3 of sunday meetings.

we go in service at least once a month.

racism

having been raised as a jw, racism was something that was never promoted.

i now have a 9 year old that has been visiting her biological grandmother and my ex-wife.

it is my child because i adopted her.

What are the comments? Today racism means nothing because the left idiots have used it to silence anyone that is not in lock step with them. So someone could say Columbus was not a bad guy and did not kill thousands and you are a racist or that taking down a stature of Robert E. Less was wrong and could be called a racist and that is all BS its not racist. But if they call someone who is of a different race a name that is considered to be degrading that is a different story and would have to be judged by its content. Even for me saying general stereotypes of races is not always racist. Its been used so much buy the idiot left at every turn it really has no meaning any more.

i remember when i was a kid in the early 70s that we always had a baseball game or picnic where they would get together and bring a dish to pass.

every summer there was one or more.

we had canoe picnic parties and camp fires ect.

They follow the rules and even go beyond in being restrictive. The other type is the hippies who turned JW. I have been in a few of these. The elders were old stoners and their wifes were old hippie chicks. Anyone else see congs like this feel free to add a class.

i found out just last night that back in 2015 scientists discovered a piece of amber estimated to be over 15 million years old.

inside the amber was a flea, very similar to the size and kind that attack and eat our blood today.

whats even more astonishing is in the mouth they found bacteria that has the same make up as bubonic plague.
