  since i think watchtower will be an online/tv cult, the members would show their spirituality by how much money they give.

  also to use the jw tv you have pay your monthly dues for access.

  and you can purchase jw merchandise and gee-hober bucks!

  What Were You or Someone You Knew Counseled For That Was Ridiculous?

  back in the day, tons of witnesses were brought in the “back room “ to be counseled by elders because of their dress and grooming.

  some elders frowned on mustaches or hair that went past a certain point on a male.

  women were regularly harassed because their skirt was too long or too short or had a slit on the side.

  I was counseled for having a little hair over my ears.

  I was told no more service or talks until it was cut.

  This was in the 70's when men were wearing their hair longer.

  There was a guy in the Hall that had bad scares on his face from a car accident so he wanted to wear a beard to cover those scares, he was told to cut it off or else.

  I hate to tell you but during this time. 50 60s on, you don’t have to

  be a Jehovah’s Witness to get a good spanking or hit.

  Yes we know Min, there has been much more social awareness now about disciplining children than 40, 50 years ago.

  This JWS parent who whipped her daughter to death is above normal though and it happened in 2001.

  Growing up JW was a nightmare.

  You bet particularly in the 1960's to 1980's

  Not to forget the children today or when these kids were violently abused in this case.

  He acts a bit doused in that video.

  Well he was against prohibition.

  As I mentioned before he was a man who lived for his own pleasures and accomplished this by the money and power the WTS had in it and what it could create through his own publications.

  He was the top dog and no one could take that away from him.

  At a time when the US was going through great financial hard times (the Great Depression) he lavished himself in pleasures, a king in his own self built Kingdom if you will..

  I think its interesting to examine how the JWS religion got its start, Rutherford is no doubt a key person to its evolving creation..

  True it may be a bit disturbing to all that is revealed about the man particularly to practicing JWS, but honest open information to events and occurrences are necessary to arrive at the truth for those who really care about the truth.

  What, ? the WTS is religious charlatanism at its core.

  If there was ever a typical identifiable charlatan operating within the WTS it would be J Rutherford.

  One thing Rutherford knew what he had to do to keep himself in power of the WTS organization and its holding money is keep the bullshit ongoing and that is just what he did.

  He realized that bullshiting equated to power and money and religious charlatanism was the answer to that.
  

  His books were sold and distributed by coerced and allured followers who thought they themselves were being devotedly loyal to Jesus in spreading the message of the new Kingdom to come placing themselves in his righteous favor.

  Of course Min but its an indication of how JWS parents follow the bible's instructions for rearing children, you know the ancient civilization that existed 3000 years ago.

  My parents particularly my father would belt us for the most little of reasons and use other acts of violence against us, he to this day is not very well liked or loved by us.

  Some of these JWS fathers would treat their children like animals in need for correction.

  These things are now illegal in most modernized countries for a reason.
