Reason why fancy dress up parties were totally band!
by Witness 007 inwe had a fancy dress up party in our congregation.
elders special pioneers and many others came, though some came as cowboys and pirates with guns and swords which was not in line with the watchtowers "beat your swords into plough sheers.
" some sisters were belly dancers....yes they exposed their stomachs.....shock horror!

by Finkelstein into the majority of people who investigate the activities of the wts from its beginning history there were obvious false proclamations and doctrines propagated by the wts.. a matter of fact the wts produced a long list of literature that posted proclamations on the front cover and went into detail of things that were suppose to happen, from jesus returning changing the world in which we live and so on.. wonderful things one might say but not factual or either theologically correct .

In the overall grand scheme of things these men assumed well if they are wrong they say well we are imperfect too, but in the mean time will take that cultivated power and money and use it to are own will and purpose, it will be are own personal earthly Kingdom, you must be subjective to us irregardless

The items the WTS published and produced had a commercial agenda attached to them toward the cultivation of money, it wasn't just about important vital information.
Some people will deny that, I particularly dont
In hindsight that information was false apostate teachings which according to bible scripture should never been taught.

If you could pick out critical errors to the JWS religion what would it be ?
by Rocketman123 inmany that have come to this forum have left the jws religion and moved on with their lives but from a outsider's viewpoint what do think makes the jws religion wrong or incorrect as a active christian faith ?.
somethings come to mind such as its long continuous end times/armageddon soon doctrine which has really been a core doctrine for decades going right back to its beginning .. maybe they should have adopted the stance as other christian based faiths and adhered to jesus's own words when he said " no one knows of the time not even he ".

Another notable error on part of the WTS men is their growing cultivation of power and control over people which grew steadily over the decades, one might say these men got delusionaly drunk on power,
God's chosen ones directed by god's holy spirit as they say, a foundation to their own inherent corruption.
Whenever men come out and proclaim that, a human folly is usually in the works.
ie... thousands died from refusing a blood transfusion, possibility of millions of families broken apart.

Yes good point , to the WTS GB men righteousness is obtained through them, they are mankind's mediator not Jesus so the dismissing of some of Jesus's teachings are placed aside.

What aspects do you view most favorably about the WT and/or its religion?
by Disillusioned JW ineven if you disapprove of much about the wt and/or its religion, what aspects do you view most favorably about the wt and/or its religion?
for me one of the things i view most favorably about the wt and its religion is its extremely strong insistence that jws never intentionally kill another human being.
i especially appreciate that regarding those who have been born, but i think some abortions of human embryos might be justifiable.

The American Constitution availed men to openly and freely propagate their religious expressions without government regulatory control.
The men of the IBSA and the following JWS organization knew and accepted that available openness.
The men of the WTS made doctrinal proclamations through the literature they sold then were eventually forced to ask for a donation due to tax laws in the US.
I'm in the belief that these men partially believed the doctrines made by past WTS leaders such as the pivotal year of 1914 and partially in acceptance that they were advantageous for their own literature proliferation.
Sometimes to get at the truth you have to use a sharp knife, uncomfortable as it may be.

So have many other religions, but you dont have to be religious to despise war.
Secular humanism is ideologically against war but has nothing to do with religion or religious beliefs..

Is this just a wisp of power you might have at one time as a JWS ?
We are all aware of the donation arrangement by the WTS/Jworg which started in the early to mid 1980's.
The past leaders of the WTS/JWs were false prophet apostates who propagated doctrines which were no doubt advantageous to the proliferation of the literature they published themselves.
Right DJW ?

I also think there is too much enforced judgment over people's behavior .
Disfellowshipping for example.
Didn't Jesus say to not be overly judgmentally over other Christians but to show and teach his way
Most Christian religions dont make public judgements over people's behavior and bring these matters to a public place like a Kingdom Hall, publicly claiming a certain person is to be shunned.
Is that a Jewish OT way of doing things or a Christian way of doing things ?.
Who are the JWS trying to emulate ? the ancient Hebrews or devoted Christians from Jesus's instructions and guiding directions ?
