Unfortunately, you are wrong.
The elders see themselves as shepards to the flock. But, the society tells you that they are appointed by holy spirit. That means that they are unblemished, holy men.
If someone is appointred an elder AFTER he has commited a crime such as child abuse then you have to question whether he HAS been appointed by holy spirit.

this year in my old hall an elder was taken to court for abusing 4 girls BEFORE he became an elder.
So, did Jehovah APPOINT a child abuser as an elder?????
No, He was appointed by men. period.
Think about what is wrong with the organisation. Everything

the charity commission, in it's guideline booklet cc21: registering as a charity, states: .
charitable purposes.
7. to be a charity an organisation must have purposes which are exclusively charitable.
Just to let you know, I have a meeting with the Charities commision in Liverpool on monday 22nd july.

i have spoken to some jehovahs witnesses who are not aware that i no longer believe in the religion.
there was shock and unhappiness about the panorama program, and concern about what they would have to face in the door-to-door ministry.
those that have been out report no real problems.
just a few points.
In my old cong they had a problem. An elder was accused of abusing 4 girls and taken to court by the girls when they got old enough to have the courage, which was 4 months ago.
The elders were in court every day and saw that their former colleague lied blatently in court that he hadn't even come into the org when these girls said he had abused them.
They knew he was lying and did not offer any evidence to the prosecution i.e. publisher record cards dated at that time.
But the question remains: If he abused these girls BEFORE he became an elder then did Jehovah appoint a child abuser as an elder?
Or did Jehovah have no say in the matter and was it purely based on a mans decision? more likely
Oh, he got of with it due to the fact that they couldn't prove when he became a witness.

We had a talk by a circuit overseer about subliminal messages in music and about messages being heard when the record was played backwards.
One of the younger elders decided that we should all bring our records to his house (because he had a record player that you could turn backwards) and listen to see if we could here anything.
Of course, all you could here was music being played backwards as all of the records were by groups like Abba etc.
So because we couldn't make out anything, what was the elders opinion of what we should do??
Yes, thats right! Destroy them all!! we spent the rest of the night snapping records. My excuse was that I was 13 yrs old at the time, bur I still don't know what the elders excuse was.
