  if they were the chosen people as the bible states under a theocracy , why would the men of israel need an army .?

  i have always been told as a jw that trinitarians, particularly baptists, are just the worst people to argue with out in service.

  i have always been told it was the world with a veil over their eyes.

  the hypocritical irony is that so many witnesses are completely stubborn and willing to believe in magic before they believe anything against their dogma.

  @David_Jay, life is a drama. Drama involves people being wrong and messed up at various times. Of course nobody likes to be wrong, analytical scientists included, but it simply takes one black swan to challenge a theory that all swans are white.

  Why is religion in general so obsessed with what people choose to do with their willies and vaginas?

  what was it in the evolution of religion that got them so hung up about what people do with their genitalia?.

  i mean, the (mis)use of genitalia is up there with murdering another human being in terms of badness.. and in the 21st century, we have a situation where in the jw religion, it's deemed as acceptable for three middle aged/old men to sit a teenage girl down and ask her the details of her use of her genitals.

  to any normal person this is intrusive, completely inappropriate and bordering on deviancy.. why they so obsessed?.

  Interesting subject.

  I always go pro-education rather than Christian morality. My best friend became a baby daddy at 18 and was basically ostracized for it, while all the sympathy went to his ex, the mother. Morality splits people up.

  So I'll take this opportunity to say that when I ask a pointed, simple question over and over, I am jabbing away to make a point. So, I apologize if it bothers anyone else, or everyone else, but I will punch away until it fucking hurts. Until the JW is forced to say their ridiculous rationalization. I'll do it for posterity even, if it means making the text of their statement searchable and quotable for the rest of the Internet.

  PS: If you follow Genesis chronology from 2370 BCE, Peleg lived from 2269 to 2030 BCE. (Gee, I wonder what the population was then.) That's your range for the Tower of Babel under Nimrod, which is supposed to precede all other human empires.
