I was really busy and was going to drop it but I've got a bit of time so decided to reply.

I've never said that Bush said Saddam caused or was behind 9/11 nor does the title of this thread imply that? The media and the Bush Administration implied that Saddam was INVOLVED in 9/11. Notice I said the Bush ADMINISTRATION. I'm not directing all of this at Bush since Bush's cabinet were talking on shows and saying things more than Bush was imo.

The statement surprised some analysts and officials who have reviewed intelligence reports from Iraq.

What I've posted above is along the lines of what Aztec is saying. The Bush administration implied/suggested/incinuated that Saddam was part of/linked to/helped?/involved/ or whatever word you want to choose.

Consistent with section 3(b) of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243), and based on information available to me, including that in the enclosed document, I determine that:

(1) reliance by the United States on further diplomatic and other peaceful means alone will neither (A) adequately protect the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq nor (B) likely lead to enforcement of all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq; and

(2) acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.

the private company, in its presentation used real peoples names and social security.

hehe yup I read about that. the company sent its lawyers on the websites that carried the original raw documents, threatening to sue them....

The company should fry unless they let it get away with it all...

theres no question that saddam hussein had al-qaida ties, the president said.

but he also said, weve had no evidence that saddam hussein was involved with september the 11th.. the presidents comment was the administrations firmest assertion that there was no proven link between saddam and sept. 11. it came after vice president dick cheney clouded the issue sunday by saying, its not surprising people make that connection.. speaking on nbcs meet the press, cheney also repeated an allegation, doubted by many in the intelligence community, that mohamed atta, the lead sept. 11 attacker, met with a senior iraqi intelligence official in prague in the czech republic five months before sept. 11, 2001.. weve never been able to develop any more of that yet, either in terms of confirming it or discrediting it, cheney said sunday.
