God does not desire any to be destroyed?
by stuckinarut2 inso if the idea is promoted that god doesn't want anyone to be destroyed, why does he make it so confusing for people to learn about him?.
why are there thousands of differing religions?.
why has "his only true organisation" even taught so many varying doctrines?.

"But never for a moment think that God will be derelict in his duty in judging sin. That would make him evil and the source of the sin, which he is not."
so the last 6,000 years dosent count as dereliction....?

Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?
by slimboyfat inas i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

In years past i would have leaned towards the gb letting this issue die... But it seems they are more than happy to repeat it and discuss it.
The truth is it dosent matter what they teach, enough will be willing to say they believe it to keep the org proped up.
The internet has been fantastic at stunting their growth and helping many to awaken... But theres always going to be a percentage who want to believe and will buy into anything

Elizabeth..... Its a process. Its one thing to know, intellectually, the truth about the cult... Its another to convince your heart. It just takes time. Think on the questions people are asking and what your husband is telling you and take your time.
you owe the elders nothing. No so much as a word about who you love, sleep with or marry. Its not their buissness if you slept toether before you were married (they WILL ask). The manner in which you sleep together isnt their concern (they will ask). None of it.... But we already know that.
You need to to come to terms with it in whatever way you need to and in whatever time it takes you :)

Its so bad apprently now they opent he doors for the elderly at 8 and everyone else at 8:15. Pathetic that they cant even respect the elderly without giving them a 15 min head start

I guess a small bit of preface would give more context, bonsai (and all who replied)
I am a semi successful fader. So successful they didnt even me a badge this year! The pain lol....
i decided to indentify myself as "nobody special" for many reasons but mostly because I used to serve as an elder. I hated the idea, even as an elder, that it accorded some special status. It didnt seem right to me that, in line with bible principles, that elder were put on a pedestal. Even more so given some douche bag elders i knew. Im very happy to be "nobody special" in that regard.
My dog loves me though :)

It really stands out to me just how phoney the bonds of forced brotherhood are. The smiles are paper thin when they see each other in hotels. The laughs forced. The conversation shallow and cult approved. Its easy to see how people end up feeling alone in groups of 100's. When your "in" it dosent always stand out.... But seeing it from an objective distance is startling.
