The paranormal.
by Lost in the fog ini know that a lot of the people on here have turned their backs on the idea of a deity deciding that god does not exist.
but what about the unseen spirit world generally such as poltergeists, jinns, voodoo, etc.
if you have become agnostic, atheist, or just don't care since leaving, do you think that there are spirits out there or have you decided that is also hokum?

In my opinion, our universe is huge let alone the possibility of multiverses; I would think there are many unexplained phenomenon that until studied and understood, would seem to be beyond the realm of possibility.
Once again though, at this time, I have no proof or have encountered undeniable proof from others of the paranormal.

(agnostic here)
You are assigning the natural physical process of evolution to a (possible, who knows?) supernatural metaphysical occurrence. I don't think the two mix.

Not too long ago, I had a door that is always shut, seemingly open on it's own. I never observed it actually open but it was always closed and something was opening it when people were not around. I was open minded about the possibility of it being a paranormal experience but decided to first try to pursue logical explanation. In the end I debunked this seemingly paranormal experience. There was nothing paranormal about it. It had a perfectly natural explanation.
I guess humans can sometimes be too quick to attribute perfectly natural occurrences to the supernatural.
I would imagine there are unexplained phenomenon in the world but I've never experienced anything that I could attribute to the supernatural.
I still however find the topic and possibility fascinating.

(former JW, now agnostic here)
The most Christ-like person I have ever met was a NON-JW. It is funny beacause JWs would most definitely shun her due to her sexual orientation. She is the most forgiving, loving, understanding, kind, non-judgemental person you would hope to ever meet.

Flawed Website
by pinkpizza inwhen i first seen this website i actually thought it was a jw website hence the home page and not an ex jw website and i posted a topic thinking people were real witnesses then i quickly discovered it was not and all these people were commenting and embarrassing me and i couldn’t even delete the thread.
then i asked the admin to delete it and i said it was very misleading saying it’s a jw page and he’s like are you serious i deleted your topic and now you are attacking me and it clearly says ex jw page.
he was very rude and btw no where does it say ex jw and you should be able to delete your own threads you start.

I figure they may have been confused as to who they were messaging and the nature of this site.
In my opinion, from the outside looking in, threads of this nature will make people hesitant to join the forums or stick around; it adds creedence to the Watchtower's false description of non-believers and apostates. Being firm yet kind to people on their way out of the Jehovah's Witness cult will go a long way in getting more people to join our cause and be free of the destructive Watchtower cult of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Let's not be too unkind and push people back into the arms of the dangerous Jehovah's Witness cult. Remember that the Jehovah's Witnesses falsely paint unbelievers as unsavory people; let's prove the Jehovah's Witnesses wrong.
@pinkpizza - please visit jwfacts.com for more information on the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Animals
by unsure inif humans have to suffer to have free will and to disprove satan's challenge to god as mentioned in the bible...then why the f*ck do animals have to suffer as well?
.
satan's challenge involved humans and not poor animals.. i'm looking for an honest explanation from believers.. at this point, the older i get, the less i believe in a god who is "love"..

My statement that there is no truly objective verifiable proof of Jesus outside of the Bible is true.
The account in the link you posted is up for serious debate.
Please see the link below on the subject.

Thank you for your post; I understand it is real to you.
However believing in God so that life is not meaningless seems like a crutch or coping mechanism to deal with a pointless existence and the possibility that when we pass on, that's it, there is nothing else.
Also, there is no truly objective verifiable proof of Jesus existence outside the Bible.
