BUT I can't help but feel so conflicted and guilty, because it's pagan right? So how can it be right to?
Do you honestly believe that an omniscient, immortal, universe creator (if it existed) would care about such trivialities?

Should a Christian celebrate Christmas?
by Samsie inhello, i'm new here and have woken up to the real truth concerning the org.
i'm sort of fading away at the moment.... i need help with something, i used to as a child celebrate christmas and have always had amazing memories of it (my husband hasn't as he was born into the org) but i gave it up when i learnt the "truth".
my interest was only in pleasing god and still is.

What do you mean by "coordination of clothing" and "arrangement for heights"? My last convention was age 18 in June 1991, so i'm unfamiliar with new practices.

Lol, I could see that one coming when I first looked at the graph. But seriously, what makes you think giving more people access to affordable insurance would bring down average life expectancy? Why aren't Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy and France flatlining? -

May we never forget just how radical these words were in 1776.
Charles 1 was executed in 1649. The Revolution was a continuation of what started in Britain 100+ years earlier. Even the constitution was basically just codifying what was won in the previous 100 years in Britain. I guess you could call it radical, but to say the United States emerged from a vacuum is kinda ignorant. -

The "Ransom" doctrine makes no sense. Not the Witness interpretation nor mainstream Christianity's.
According to scripture he was dead for 3 days. So the "sacrifice" was giving up a long weekend. Then, if one is a trinitarian, it becomes even more nonsensical. He sacrificed himself to himself to save humanity from himself. There may or may not have been some person in Palestine who preached the admirable things that Jesus was said to have said. But countless human beings throughout history have been tortured and executed, who didn't have the comfort of being an immortal deity. (assuming you believe that part of the story).

Just because the Earth is warming up is no evidence that life is going to end.
I've never seen a claim that "life is going to end". Life bounced back from the Chicxulub Asteroid. Eventually.
Life will carry on just fine. May cause serious misery for human beings, though.
