Oh, this has racism and xenophobia written all over it. Hard to believe it'll go far.

I still have trouble saying the pledge of allegience. It just seems odd to, almost cultluike, this group chanting.

i'll start: positive, a very quick sense of humor and quick wit.

negative: i can be very cutting with my words if i want to be.

Positive: I can be a really nice guy, funny, quick witted and intelligent.

Negative: I can get pretty arrogant and cutting when I think someone is saying something stupid.

If you love google and other search engines...you might want to re-think that?

we have arrived at a time & place where we take access to information for granted.

easy, right...you type your query into the search engine and bam, you've got 100 gazillion hits on your subject.

and, most of us are saavy enough to know that a preponderance of the info is total bullshit.

If it happens here, some genuis rebel would set up another search engine that wouldn't be censored. It'sin our nature.

But I agree, shame on Google and Yahoo and whoever else went along with this just to get access to the Chinese billions.

Maybe they felt that something was better than nothing. At least get in there, then try to change the system.

who has been even kinda wealthy....then poor?...

i know it is happening a bunch in the usa....and ya...jesus said the poor will aways be with us.....but is it true that the rich are no happier than the poor?......is there a middle ground where happy flourishes?

i am not poor by any means, but my income is about to change bigtime!

and i am just not lookin forward to it.........oompa.

There is a book, Your Money or Your Life, which shows that happiness does increase with wealth - up to a point. Not having to worry about paying your bills, knowing you could weather a difficult time, being able to travel, put food on the table, go out to dinner when you want, help others in need - there is a lot to be said about all of that. Not having to worry about money has to be a huge plus in finding happiness.

But beyond that point, there is very little correlation between money and happiness.

I've never been well off. I've been OK. Right now, I'm one or two lost paychecks away from living in the woods. I don't like that at all.

Are You Surprised That You Ever Believed "In The Truth"?

knowing what you know now, are you embarrassed that you ever believed in the jehovah's witness religion?.

My parents started studying when I wa 9 or so, and I got baptized at 11, so I was raised in it pretty much. I don't think I'd ever have become a Witness as an adult.

I think I stayed, despite doubts, because of the old 'wait on Jehovah' line. In time, I felt all those questions would be solved.

Well, I guess that is what happened!
