The GB get hundreds of letters of similar content, they the GB will read none of these . They are the popes of WT ,there are more important issues in their mind, such as selling the family heirlooms. I know most JW think these guy are Jesus on earth but I'm afraid to say that these guys don't eat with sinners.

Old Letter to the Governing Body
by WITNESS-FOR-WATCHTOWER-REFORM inthis is an older letter i wrote to the gb in october last year in regards to their policy around shunning of dissociated ones.
the letter doesn't focus on the disfellowshiped, but am in the process right now of writing to them regarding their recent watchtower on shunning disfellowshipped relatives.. the letter i wrote back in october rambles on a bit, but wanted to express my frustration to the governing body about their very unfair policy toward those who simply choose to leave.. regards.
the governing body.

Those who were converts from another faith. When did you realize that you were being lied to?
by TTWSYF inmy experiences have included being lied to about what the bible says.
mind you , i am not referring to scripture twisting, i mean out right lying about what is written.. obviously at least some here didn't realize until it was later.. just wondering what others experienced.. thanks.

To all former Elders – what are your thoughts
by Tallon inif you were part of a judicial committee, and knowing what you know now, what was it like for you to sit on jc’s?
how did you feel if someone was reproved or df’d?
were you ever on a jc and you disagreed with someone being reproved or df’d and were overruled – how did you feel?

I'm so glad I was never a elder, now that I'm awake I would beat myself up and be forever emotionally wrecked if some poor bastard committed suicide after I DF them.

Easier to be a JW now?
by Xanthippe inreading konceptual's account of talking to cart 'witnesses' and it reminded me that when we left in '89 we thought the religion would do one of two things.
get more hardline, consequently lose members and eventually come to an end in some way.
or ease up on the members, fewer rules, less fs time, less meetings, just to keep them in.. all the recent apostate stuff, treatment of dfed kids and the hardline attitude to people who leave or try to fade has confused me, made me think they are harder on the r+f., but i don't think this is true.

To be subjected to guilt riddled speeches and to conform to business dress codes is enough punishing for my soul. Non returnable time is why most won't go back ever.

So When Do You Think The Watchtower Sign Will Come Down in Brooklyn?
by Wild_Thing ini think we should have a street party in brooklyn when it happens!
it would be a "tearing down of the berlin wall" type of celebration!
i would totally fly to new york for that!
-

Yes I think it's worth a party, but the problem lies in it will rise at Warwick , at least on cows see it their.

Being an xjw puts us in a league few have traveled, theirs the guilt ridden thoughts of wasted time, then it's the damage we have caused others due to following false prophets. The I'm such a fool thoughts damage the xjw .Eventually we have to look only forward and it's then we heal and find happiness .

Whats the problem?
by eyeuse2badub inlike the noah of old, (as described in the bible), are modern day jw’s just poor teachers?
i mean, noah, and i assume his family, preached for decades prior to the “deluge”.
they were “clearly” or “evidently” poor at convincing their contemporaries that a ‘flood’ was a comin’.

The problem with JW headquarters is they can't start again, so they are chained to a history of bullshit that if they did it again they probably wouldn't do certain things because it affects the MONEY flow.1 blood which they can't change due to too many deaths, 2 1914 they just put it in print to much so they can't change because the rank and file would realise God didn't change his mind. 3 Education so the money would flow more freely. 4 the no children policy which hindered increase.

I need more faith so I've been told
by hoser ini attended the circus assembly last weekend and i have come to the conclusion i am lacking faith.
the opening talk on the program, the very first words that came out of the speakers mouth told me so.
he said most of us here are lacking faith even though we might not know it.

You could ask any who say they have faith that the real measurement for faith is we all line up at the ocean shore and see who can walk the out on the water the longest distance. I have faith my balls will be wet.
