They would of been better off forgetting the whole subject, instead like 1914 they persist with dribble and think everyone would be proud of the flickering light. If a publishers story changed so often during a JC they would be DF for lying. Imagine during JC you used the line new light. Just like King David it's good to be boss different set of rules.

the new understanding
by heathen inhi guys , i know i was never a favorite here and haven't posted in awhile ... question .
what do you think of the new understanding of , " this generation " they seem to go in circles on this one big time , once 1914 generation was almost gone they said they didn't know what it meant and now in the new publication the generation includes the second generation after 1914 .... i agree they don't know what they are talking about and this is just another control move .
any comments ?.

There was one in Australia who no one wanted him more than once, Malcolm Clar..
pure company man who cared little for the publisher. The God of watchtower would be proud of this bastard.

Awake! Magazine April 22 1970
by pale.emperor inwas doing some research this evening and i think ive found possibly the most damaging awake magazine issue the jw's could have printed.
april 22nd 1970. you can download the entire 1970 volume here: http://da-ip.getmyip.com:8080/pdf/old%20publications/?sort=d.
in this issue, the watchtower calls other religions on their hypocrisy for changing doctrine, upbeat music in their services, the clergy meddling in worldly affairs (un anyone?

My mind can't get around the demonic actions of baptising children who when older can't genuinely visit other church's without life long sanctions. I can't understand there are people out there who's parents shun them to the extent of no relationship with gran children and don't even attend funerals.

It no different from a quack cancer cure, he's taking advantage of the sick and the down trodden . The only person these people are helping is themselves, I'm sure there's a place in gods org for a bloke like him.

Watchtower view on hunting and fishing?
by HereIgo ini grew up doing both.
while i was in the org, i didn't hear too much about fishing, but all of the co's frowned upon hunting.
their stance was jw's should not own a gun.

WT hunts apostates and fishes for gullible Christians. Fishing is ok ,most apostles were fisherman. They have demonised the gun, but are happy to live in a country guarded by weapons or eat meat killed by bullet. I've seen pics in mags of new world with people fishing. I have no problem with someone having a weapon for self defence especially the elderly, an 18 year old criminal verses grandma with a 44 magnum ,it's an equaliser.

What's The First "Worldly" Thing You Did When You Exited The Cult?
by pale.emperor inwhen you finally and officially exited the cult, whether it be by disfellowshipping, disassociating or fading - what was the first things you did that are considered "worldly"?.
for me, it was like crash landing on another planet that looked like earth but was completely different to the earth i knew.
i wanted to learn everything that i thought i already knew.. first things i did:.

Brought a lottery ticket, sang happy birthday. Hell even sleeping in Saturday's is wordly. Joined a forum with people who have similar family dilemmas and are finding mental adjustments difficult . I find myself at home with the damaged sheep of this forum. It was even a sin to some to say good luck. My worldly list is quite extensive but my age gives me wisdom as to put less in print.

They aren't appointed by Holy Spirit, they are appointed by CO. If they were appointed by Holy Spirit the elders wouldn't have to ask have they got any secret sins. The whole idea of some invisible force is equivalent to the tooth fairy.
