i have never understood this.
was it because of legal reasons?
i cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but i know the elders ask you repeatedly that you are not taping.
Couple of reasons, 1 - closed courts with no records for defendants can't be disputed on the grounds of it being conducted outside their guidelines.
2 - they can't be sued for mis conduct on their part or improper procedure.
3- verdicts will ALWAYS be correct in their eyes
4 - If wordly people ever really heard what was really said in JC they would know what a kangaroo court it really is.

i remember hearing that elders have to turn in their "flock" books if they resign, get deleted, etc, i didn't even know they had their own books and i was an ms. is the bible not enough?

The letter sent to next cong you attend . I always referred that letter as the undefendable slander, I even had a elder tell me that they slandered me in that letter, but couldn't tell me what was said .just like you said secrecy.

i raised an issue with a co once about an elders qualifications, he visited my house and in no uncertain terms said don't touch ark of covenant ( referring to elder as ark ) , i was gob smacked then he said to wife and i that if we pursued such an avenue we could be grieving gods holy spirit.

If you look at Tony tight pants Morris bbq pics his son has tight pants , could you imagine these guys making the rules for new world order , I mean it would be hell on earth with the dress code and daily living rules . JWs may have got my mind with doctrine but they certainly didn't get those shit tunes in my head. I knew when they got new song book five years ago that either God had no taste in music or that there was delusion in the music room at bethel.
