Lookout.. this elder was a genuine dickhead who was trying to establish a JC against me for slander ,he had connections to the top. The problem the CO had was he was only appointed 6 months before at the grand old age of 26, my issue raised was he told his wife things that were said in sheparding call. Nothing said to elders is in confidence when they are married. I honestly believe they can't lose their job if CO likes them.

Children
by Chook inmy philosophy on children ( i have two ) they bring joy until they can speak after that it's questionable.
then gran children ( i have 2 ) which are great, i don't have to discipline and can hand back .
the only other couple of things i appreciate children for is i can leave my wordly possessions to them and i like the idea i will be missed by someone when i leave this planet..

I love that sticker. It's pretty hard to protect oneself from a martyr , it's still effective in Iraq. It's just that nobody recognises the bomb inside the JW witnessing bag, it takes out a lot of genuinely good people.

Double Standards?
by HereIgo ini always found it interesting how there are doctors at bethel and jw lawyers, when the org frowns on pursuing higher education.
i guess it's ok if it's for their benefit?.

Don't listen to what they say watch what they do. Just like at assemblies they say we don't hand around collection plate yet tell everyone we are in deficit of thousands , when in reality it costs next to zero to run an assembly.

Ridiculous ways you kept your "time going" in service?
by HereIgo ini used to go out early mornings with 2 pioneer elders, we would drive 20 miles out of the territory (a big no-no) to look for hikers to preach to lol of course there were never any hikers.
then off to starbucks for another hour lol easy way to count 2-4 hours.
i am chuckling as i write this, what a joke!.

Book burning is the only solution. I just love how old divine plan of ages had pyramid and when new reprints put Russell face in front of pyramid. That is treacherous.

Jehovah`s Witnesses Religion based on First Century Christianity ?
by smiddy inwho was the president of the first century christian congregation after jesus death , , the secretary ,the treasurer ,the field overseer ,the district overseer ,who were the lawyers protecting the congregations from secular authorities ,the mogul`s of real estate , buying up land and getting christians to build places of worship with free labor and then selling them off for a profit a few years down the track , with nothing going back to those who laboured on those projects .. where are the records on papyrus , that the 1st century witnesses counted their hours ,made return visits ,bible studies ,oops the bible wasnt even formulated then ,that didn`t occur until apostate christendom in the 3rd century came up with a number of books to be inspired ..

In the fist century on their stone cobbled roads stood a Christian with his cart with writings from Paul and coloured pictures of Babylon falling, not approaching anyone . He hoped they would approach him so he could report his hours to Jerusalem for the monthly quota so he can qualify as a MS.

Facial Hair?
by HereIgo innow what was the deal with this one?
my cong strictly enforced the facial hair unwritten rule.
alot of bros starting growing soul patches, then the co cracked down on that too, no more, must be clean shaven, especially ms and elders.

Just another rule for the sake of having a rule.JW love rules. My brother who is Catholic priest says JWs would make better Israelites than Christians due to their love of rules.

This is a good home on this forum, mixed opinions and way less judgmental than org. Your very lucky you got out young but we all bare scares and bruises from the cult and we all compare our wounds, This site is therapy for most.
