A Short Life Story - Part 2
by pale.emperor inpart 1 in here: https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5961287718666240/short-life-story-part-1.
so im 19, i decided to shut up and put all my doubts about god even existing to the back of my mind and just go along with it.
im sure things will be explained eventually, all i need is to humble myself and do more in "the truth" right?.

I can relate to some issues, I can imagine you at times questioning your own sanity in this environment.

New Research at AJWRB
by Lee Elder inthe latest research article published at ajwrb estimates the number of jehovah's witnesses who have died from following or being coerced to follow watchtower's blood policy.
the numbers are staggering.

I honestly think security for the men who enforce these doctrines needs increasing. Imagine the child of a father looses his life on the issue ( blood fractions, organ transplants ) which the wt later changed direction, this child gets older and want to vent his anger at religious leaders who stole his dad. The wt popes need some recourse for their death dealing traditions. That's not counting the JWs affected by the no vaccine policies of the 30s.
The trouble with accountability for the wt popes is they say everyone renders a personal account to god and they wash their hands of the cult guilt bestowed apon rank & file. Head office knows they can't abandon the blood issue because of the thousands who have died. Imagine if they changed it to a conscience matter and you had previously lost a child, that's why I say security could be an issue. Big Tony might need a pope mobile.

JWs biggest problem is not doctrinal issues
by Chook init's biggest problems are associated with its lack of genuine love and concern for the rank& file.
the average person doesn't need a food critic to tell them their hamburger is shit, in the same manner the average person can discern kindness and love.
gbs fake love and concern is evident in the way head office deals with victims of sexual abuse by jw clergy.

I would like to know how many poverty stricken brothers from Africa have been ever invited to serve at bethel in the US. The GB aren't sharing their food with their hungry African brothers.

My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.
by Witness 007 inmum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.
so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.
watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

Killing in the name of....
by Confusedalot inmy story:.
i grew up as one of jehovah's witnesses with all the normal complications which include but are not limited to: having no friends because the other kids are worldly and the other witnesses are not spiritual enough, being tormented every day at school for not saluting the flag, not participating in birthdays, not swearing, being a virgin and using the name of god.
this was not only verbal and emotional torment but even progressed to physical abuse.. through all this jehovah was my only friend and i used to pray a lot, and felt that all of these things don't matter as long as i have him.. after school and starting work i met someone and we got married.

A parent turning their back on an adult child over a religious decree thought up by a high control religion that has no genuine love for their fellow man. It is heart wrenching the family damage this church causes. Hang in there and I hope things improve, we are all cheering for your success in this perilous journey.

How to lock down the internet - As in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)
by fulltimestudent inhow do you allow a localised and controlled use of an intranet, allowing people to access a controlled flow of information, but preventing them from accessing information from the external internet (world wide web)?.
not long ago, computer engineers at enno rey netzwerke in the german city of heidelberg were able to examine an ullim (nk brand name) tablet.
what they discovered is that all the (western) efforts to leak anti-regime information into nk, to take advantage of a perceived increase in computing in nk, are likely useless as the regime's scientists and engineers have been able to modify the hardware and software to virtually close off information not approved by the regime.

The GB would get an erection if they could control Jw browsing to only their website. They might hire big kimmys computer engineers. Information is king.

Really struggling to go on
by Isambard Crater inso, so much has happened in my life over the years and continues to happen, but i won't go into the details as it would take a long time.. i don't really know why, but i returned to "the truth" 15 years ago.
in 2012 when the tv broadcasting station launched, i started to develop doubts.
the australian royal commission and other scandals made me angrier, and i now don't believe most of the core teachings.. the only reason i show up at 5 or 6 meetings each month is to keep in contact with my parents and a few other family members.. but it's killing me, literally.

Lot and Abraham attended no meetings and I couldn't imagine Jesus singing hymns before his sermons. Isambard you know what you have to do, subjecting yourself to religious pain only hurt you , so run my friend.

Pale the problem with your childhood is you asked the question " why" then the rest is history. From timid child to forthright apostate , your doing well my friend.
